[Trivial Psychic]

Just wanted to share a little story with you all about my latest haul. So last week, I had kind of a crappy day at work, and came home feeling a bit bummy. I pretty much just tried to play it off though, and didn't think really much of it. When I woke up in the morning however, I found Andrea and The Governor sitting on top of my lap top with a little post it from my GF, who picked them up for me in hopes of cheering me up, knowing that I was a fan of the show.


Now initially, while I really liked the Walking Dead line, I didn't want to start collecting a new line of figures, but of course, after her awesome gift, I honestly couldn't resist and ended up hunting down the entire line. What was really nice, was that TRU price matched me on some of the figs, because I was able to show them a receipt from ones that she picked up from Walgreens, which ended up saving me about 15 bucks in the long run!


I even managed to find Penny at a local Gamestop...although honestly, I ended up being more excited about finding the very last copy of Trick R' Treat and my BD copy of Pacific Rim at Best Buy!


And while technically not a toy...it IS Lego.... =P Super excited to finally get this!

Haha, the grey gargoyle, one of the few French characters of the marvel universe!
I remember when I was a kid to be very upset by him and Batroc because they weren't very cool or charismatic!
There also was a French hero based on a Falcon but he's only been seen once in the war of champions I guess...

For an obscure villain, he certainly gets around in the MU - he's fought Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, She-Hulk, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Spider-Man and several others. He even had a significant part in the Fear Itself event (for good or ill).

I'm very excited to get this "Evil" Superman. It's only my second Hot Toys item and will probably be my last for quite some time (chop chop on the Arkham City Batman, HT, I needs it!) but I just cancelled my PS4 pre-order and I figured, why not buy this instead?

I actually prefer this to the original Reeve Superman because, between the darker colors, stubble and slightly greyed hair, this version won't stand out amongst "grittier" heroes once I begin to expand my collection.

Just noticed this post. Sounds like you've got a thoughtful girl there!

I was in the same boat with the Walking Dead toys. Back when the first series of those came out, I made the hard choice of passing on them because I already collect too many lines. And then I got TV Rick, black & white TV Rick, and Daryl for Christmas - BOOM - it snowballed from there. Been collecting them ever since, and series 3 and 4 have been major improvements over the previous ones.

And let me know how the game is! I'd be buying Lego Marvel too if Arkham Origins wasn't being released on Friday.

Got my SDCC Jetfire set from hasbrotoyshop today along with all my Mattycollector stuff today!! With this and the Castle Greyskull next this pretty much is my X-mas. Yes, I got a few of the Horde Troopers, I have been waiting for these since the line started. :-) Also got a couple more Black Mask DC figures for custom work.



About all I will get the rest of the year will be the series 2 SW black 6 inch and the rest of the Matty stuff for the year and the Hammer and Sickle Batman Arkham 2 packs, the Marvel Wolverine Legends if I can find a good price and probably a few odds and ends and that is all. I need to really decide what I like most and trim out a few lines.

Alright, so a day later Photobucket finally straightened out for me.



I don't have anything approaching an ideal setup for these to be on display, so Superman will have to be crammed into Joker's diorama until I get around to buying another 5 shelf bookcase.
