Nice find! I think I'll check my local Wal-Marts soon. I've been wanting to delve into the Gen-1 era of Transformers, and at that price, I don't really have an excuse not to.
And speaking of Transformers...

A few years ago, I swore that I wouldn't buy any more Deluxe (or smaller) versions of Optimus Prime. It's bad enough that Optimus typically hasn't come with a trailer for about 7 years, and has been downgraded to Voyager class (but don't even get me started on that, lol), but smaller Primes just seem wrong on multiple levels. BUT when I saw Orion Pax, I figured, technically, it wasn't Prime, but a younger incarnation of the Autobot who would become Prime, so I decided to break my little rule. However, once they hit stores, I was disappointed by all of the crooked Autobot emblems and sloppy paint jobs, so I decided to pass until I could find one on sale and/or clearance. Well today was that day! A Target in my area has Generations Deluxe figures for $9.99, and I found an Orion with an acceptable (but still far from perfect) paint job.

Yeah I was on the same boat as well, I figured it's him prior to being OP, so I figured he would be a cool addition to my collection.

It's actually a really good figure with only one minor hitch: the way the chest locks into place in robot mode causes a cringe-inducing moment when you try to transform him back into alt mode. Definitely proceed with caution on that step, as there are some who have broken theirs by applying too much force on the wrong part. Check YT for some helpful hints on how to make that step a little less scary.

EDIT: Btw, my only pick-ups for the week are SWBS 6" Sandtrooper and the TFP:BH:PR Bumblebee/Blight 2-pack. Hopefully Hun-Grrr, Windrazor and Twinstrike get another retail release/new deco (that are still Predacons and aren't made of translucent plastic) so I can have another version of Abominus.

It is a cool toy, although of course undersized. I love the IDW verse and appreciate the character models that come out of it.

Lol, yeah, I nearly tore the nail off of my thumb trying to pop his chest out of place while transforming him :P
Definitely one of the trickiest transformations I've experienced in quite some time.
Not a fan of the alt mode, but in robot form he looks good. The axe and ion blaster are great examples of how a couple of little accessories can add SO MUCH to the playability, posing/display options, and overall character of a figure. $10 well spent IMO

I've heard nothing but great things about the IDW verse from friends who read the current comics. Some are longtime Gen-1 fans, and some are relative newcomers to the franchise, but they all seem to enjoy the IDW books. At some point, when I have a little extra cash and time, I'm gonna snag some of the TPBs and find a good jumping-on point in the monthly titles.

That Orion Pax figure is one of the year's highlights and the pack-in comic is a very fun read. Recommended!

Found some of the new Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action line.
Bought some, passed on some. Also Picked up the new single of Jane Boolittle at TRU.

Got the new Rhinox TF: Generations figure from HTS and he is FANTASTIC. I have been waiting for , what 15 years now, for a good Rhinox, and he has arrived.

Also picked up some super TRU Clearance. Gears Locust was 6$, T-1000 was 5$, and the Assassins Creed Glider was 5$. I looked at 4 different TRU for a MK Shao Khan Throne with no luck.

Haha getting mine too, although I'm on the fence with the BW guys. I'm surprised you didn't order one for yourself.

I was so excited to have them making a correct Rhinox. I am currently looking to catch the Waspinator that is hitting shelves now. I have the old TF Classics/ Generations Cheetor and Dinobot. I never got the Beast Wars stuff until the Transmetals line cause they just were not good or accurate. They just announced and showed the new Rattrap so I am hopeful they do a show accurate Black Arachnia, Tarantulus, Silverbolt (Proper scale), Transmetal Black Arachnia (proper scale to the others) and most likely a Tigatron repaint of Cheetor and maybe a new Air Razor.

Actually good point, if Rat Trap is a TFCC exclusive I probably won't get this line cause I wouldn't be able to complete it. I'm not a member.

TFCC exclusives are never completely new molds. Rattrap will be a general release.

I was finally able to go and pickup all I have ordered on AmazonJP for the last three months!

-6 Shockers (evil Kamen Rider troopers)
-Berry Cure Figuarts for 5$
-2 stands for figuarts
-Toilets, seats and desks for 1/12 scale figs
-Superman, Supergirl, Robot Superman Microman
-LBXFighters Custom Effects model kits
these are actually incredibly useful as they can dramatically improve your displays. They also are very cheap (2-3$ for one). Since LBX is now aired in Europe and US, I hope we got the toys as well. They have freezing effects, flaming effects, explosions, shots, and even wings!

Some examples of uses:

Could you post some pics of the desks and toilets next to some figures??? ( mostly wanting to see stuff like Marvel Legends or DC Classics) . I have been trying to decide how they might look with other figures. All the pics I find are just like the box pic with a blank body.

yeah.. rattrap is most definitely not an exclusive.

there will also be three other reveals in that issue.. i'm not a member.. so we'll have to wait for people to start getting them until we learn about what's coming after rattrap.

Based on the saturation levels of the Generations voyagers released so far, I'm banking on being able to find him at retail eventually. I just need to be patient.

Honestly, I would prefer if Tigatron got a new mold and they redeco'd/remolded it into a new Cheetor. Meth Kitty has issues.

This. The only involvement TFCC has with Gen. Rattrap is they were the first to show pics of him (and apparently will reveal the rest of his wave as well).

Oh yeah but when HTS had that 25% off with free ship, very hard to pass up!

True, true. If I had had the funds at the time, I probably would've jumped at the chance. But bills before thrills, you know.
