I've had quite a few employees, typically at Target and TrU, make a point to come over to me to see what I was doing, while I was taking pics for the "Look What I Passed Up" thread. Before they get the chance to become overly inquisitive, I just say "it's for Twitter", lol, and they usually just walk away with confused looks on their faces. I figure that's a simpler explanation than having to explain the truth to them. Who else but a collector would understand why an individual would take pics of a figure that they did NOT intend to purchase, just to let know other collectors know that they passed on it for whatever reason, lol ?!?

I do remember however when I was in retail, I was told to be on the lookout for shoppers who did similar things, as employees from competing retailers would stop by and take pictures of displays and prices...and occasionally, we would be sent to do similar things during big sales. It was pretty silly, but it was considered a form of corporate espionage if you will. Perhaps the policy is an old one from where TRU had competition outside of Target and Walmart (Kaybee Toys for example?) Who knows? It didn't bother me too much. Most of the time like you said earlier..they tend to just look on indifferently, and in the end, I don't think they really cared as they were getting a future sale out of me anyways. I think they just felt obliged to say something because someone possibly complained or called a "Code Jeffery" on me... (those of you who've worked at TRU know what I'm talking about there...*winks...) |

maybe, if walmart decides to restock their transformers section they'll have them.. otherwise, your best bet would probably be the internet or a comic book shop. |

Also snatched these up. Just put out on the shelves. I like the new Casey Jones. Just wish this TMNT line was more collector oriented.

"Code Geoffrey"...I see what you did there. The policy is an outdated one, it was more along the lines of catching competitive shoppers (from other stores) and deterring people looking to take pictures of the prices/layout back before you could look everything up on your phone. Some stores view taking pictures as someone even casing the place for theft. 99% of the time though no one will bother you other than asking if you need assistance.

You hit it on the head when you mentioned casing for theft, because that is what a "Code Geoffrey" is, if you've ever heard it being called over their walkies, it usually means they're tagging a potential shoplifter or some suspicious activity is being monitored. I guess oohing and ahhing at something in the aisle while taking pictures of toys on your phone is suspicious behavior. Maybe I should have took a selfie instead... =P Anyways...I've been on a Marvel Legends kick as of late, just picking up older figs loose wherever I can find them, so was excited when these came in the mail on Friday. Not pictured here is the all solid variant of (Jessica Alba) Invisible Woman from the FF movie series. ![]() And finally, my GF found these at TRU on Friday quite by accident, but they became a really nice Valentine's day gift from her to me in the end! She came across the entire wave, but passed on Merle due to his somewhat shoddy paint apps (having run into him in the wild myself, he's probably the least favorite figure of mine in the series in a long while.) Hopefully we'll get a rebooted Shane, Sasha, and Carol in the near future! ![]() |

I believe Big Bad Toy Store has it on preorder for $130. It's amazing in-hand.
