Oh snap! I hope my Ross gets that one! Last week, I was checking ebay frequently, just hoping that there was some sort of Death of Superman wooden sign, but I never spotted any.

I am SOOO excited that these actually exist !

They vary from sign to sign. I've seen some X-Men signs with the fake scratches on them to give them that "aged/antiqued" look, but I've also seen some that are completely untarnished.

There is a kickstarter going now for those Skeleton Warriors ^ not sure they will make it. I like the originals, have been thinking about picking some up...

yeah, I love Skeleton Warriors, and for $1, I love to use them as the undead army of Lord Skeletor (in my universe, Skeletor is MUCH more evil than the silly version on the cartoon).

At Ross now and I found the Death of Superman wooden sign! I'm ecstatic! They also have a cool Alan Scott Green Lantern sign, as well as the cover to John Byrne's awesome Man of Steel #1 !

All of the comics covers from the 60's and 70's seem to have the same scratched look to them. I mean they all have the same pattern of scratches on them. The only ones that were "Clean" , like the Supes death, were the covers from the 80's and 90's. I think they are on the older images to make them look old.

I saw the Man of Steel #1 from Byrne also. I wanted it too, but I had to hold on to some self control. I would have bought like 7 or 8 of these if I had the money, or any wall space left in the house. :-)

First day in Japan, found these guys as well as the fabled "Kourin Effect" from a limited edition of Ultra-art figure.
I buy a Rigado every time I see one, I may have 4 of them now... I have to think about a Robotech display now!!

I love how japanese collectors secondhand toys are almost as clean as new!
Just playing by myself in the hotel room...

Lol, I am unspeakably jealous of you right now
Japan is at the top of my list of foreign nations that I would like to visit.
I'd need at least 7-10 days there, so that I could dedicate at least 2 or 3 days to shopping and going to arcades, lol!
Not to mention, there are so many architecturally significant sites that I would love to visit in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, that I don't know how I could possibly schedule all of these destinations into a single trip.
Maybe someday, either before or after grad school, before I have to grow up and join the "real world", I can make the trip (or trips).
Lol, so jealous ...

oops! I missed a box of STARRIOR parts that I got at the toy show back on June 7th:

Not directly TOY related, but I did come home yesterday to a package of 25 Laserdiscs. I won't post all 25, you can go to my flickr stream to see them all if you wish, but a sample that ARE toy related are:

I actually got 8 Robotech laserdiscs!

A special thanks to fellow Arker Serious Lee for working the trade here! You rock dude!

Not exactly a toy, but I also got this from my girlfriend for Father's Day and I thought it rocked, so I thought I'd share!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
