Wow, THAT'S clever. *rolls eyes* The figures don't actually look that bad. Not my thing, 'cause I've never really been into the Turtles, but they're pretty cool.

They are honestly not entirely terrible. I think the thing that hurts the figures the most is not the sculpts, but the paint apps, which are sorely lacking. There are so many different little details that could be touched up or colored in on both the figures and their weapons that could really make these guys shine. I can't wait to see what kinds of custom paint jobs will eventually be cranked out by those with an artistic and steady hand in the near future.

That said, the only reason I opted out of getting them, is that I hardly need yet another version of the turtles on a shelf that's running out of room. I'll probably get around to them eventually...as of right now, the only thing that interests me is the new turtle van, which IMHO looks way more bad ass than the Nickelodeon Shellraiser.

i'm confused...what is wrong with The Ricker? He is a few days older than me, and I wanted to BE him when I was a kid...imagine, living in a mansion with an arcade in the lobby, and a train to ride around on? That would be awesome!

I'm still confused. I've never seen the movie, but you are saying it's like Brokeback Mountain? That may explain why the cashier asked for my birthday. I was surprised, because I thought the movies were all family movies, and he was holding that particular movie...it's rated PG. How weird, I've never had to show my ID to buy ANY movie...ever. Especially not for a PG movie. I think I'll skip over to Youtube to see a preview during the next commercial break.

I got other DVDs at Dollar General, but to see those, you'll have to go to my Flickr. I don't want to put more than 10 pics at a time, and figure I'd fill-it-out with a full 10 as I post.

Well

that didn't reveal anything X rated.

The head sculpts are terrible. They remind me of Aliens in the Attic. Apparently at some point Donatello became a samurai with some gadget on his head, weird combination. Michelangelo looks like a rapper who decided to put on a wet suit. I think if Raphael's neck muscles got any tighter his head might pop off. And Leonardo has chocolate bars all over his chest. All in all, it's a disaster.

Great hauls, everyone. Too bad I've hit a bit of a dry spell lately, but at least I have tons of pics from Botcon to drool over.

It's actually Rick Schroeder, now. [/CBG voice]

I loved Silver Spoons as a kid too, but I can't watch the show now without cringing. Very hammy acting from Rick and co.

Rick has gotten better, but that film you picked up looks like a cheesy Hallmark film. Not that there's anything wrong with liking those movies. They're just not my thing.

AFAIK, BBM has nothing in common with that other movie. I think Ukmu was just joking about owning BBM and not advertising that fact, since some might find it as embarrassing as owning anything with Rick Schroeder in it.

Kamen Rider Zangetsu: The quality control on this guy is quite bad. The right hand that is supposed to hold the shield does not lock in to the peg properly and because of such, the weight of the shield makes the hand fall out with ease. It took me 10 minutes just to get it to stay in long enough for that one shot. Not only that, but his Lock Seed and sword holster keep popping out (at least the sword actually stays inside the holster) as does his upper torso. It sucks as this is my favorite design of the initial four. On the bright side, I now have three Lock Seeds attached to Kouta's belt.

Nope. I just wish that they would hurry up and put out the OTHER seasons of Silver Spoons on DVD before I have grandchildren, since I never got to share them with my own son, maybe I can share them with his children.

I think it would be funny if he ALWAYS talked about himself in the third person...like he might say,"Rick Schroeder feels like pizza tonight." And, "Does Rick Schroeder look like he needs help? Rick Schroeder can shop around on his own." Or the ever popular, "Is Rick Schroeder gonna have to all Heisenberg up in here? Tell me Rick Schroeder dont have to go all Heisenberg UP IN HERE!!!"

Sorry to go so far off topic there.... I feel dizzy now. Good scores everyone. I am waiting for several BIG scores next week, I helped to sell a 235 piece MU collection and got 10 figures and a MU Masterworks Galactus for that. Getting 3 of the wave and the final piece to our GIANT MAN baf, also getting 5 AIM troopers (mu) for brokering another deal for the same guy. Free figures are the best! Good too, because I have a lot of medical bills right now.

I was just fooling around too Falcon, I have ACTUALLY seen that movie! I also LOVED Silver Spoon as a kid. I liked the butler and AMAZING STORIES was on afterwards I think.

tbh I don't really care too much for that vader. he'll probably just go into my box of unwanted figures. I just want that luke.

ah, good to hear it's not X-Rated. That would have been a waste of $3.

Reading through the last two pages has me cracking up! I am not a hater of the Ricky Schroeder (I grew up watching Silver Spoons too), but I think it was terrible when he was on 24 fighting alongside Jack Bauer LOL!!! NOOOOOO!!!
I found some GOG stuff today...I like the smaller scale, it goes well with my Transformers!!! These figs are slightly taller than the Human Alliance figs though. The paint apps are surprisingly decent too...

Slowly but surely adding to my GL related stuff.

It figures that I have been searching for this forever and then inadvertently end up with 2 within a few days.

Toys R Us is having a BOGO50% off sale, so I nabbed some Transformers (but the deluxes would STILL be cheaper at Wal-Mart)

And Goodwill had some more 49 cent DVDs:
