I head to the mailbox today to find a package from a friend of mine who currently lives in Japan. He managed to get his hands on a set of "gatchapon" capsules (which usually come from gumball or vending machines...) of characters from the original Street Fighter 2, all posed in a bowing pose in various states of disarray, looking like they've been whooped on a bit. Some have bloody noses, black eyes, and all are full of salty tears. Being a huge Street Fighter nut, I couldn't stop laughing at some them, so I thought I would share.

Those are amazing !!! I LOVE gachapon figures, but I've never seen these before!
Maybe someone should start a gachapon thread here so we can show off our collections

Thanks Frank...I'm glad you liked them!

These actually looked like they came out fairly recently, since the little cards with the pixel art actually had Ultra Street Fighter 4 ads on the back, with the game only coming out just a few months ago.

This is my first complete set of "gatchapon" characters, but not my first go around with them. I used to have a few of the Virtua Fighter characters once upon a time (made famous in the Sega Dreamcast game "Shenmue.") but I lost track of what happened to them during my college years. I fell in love with these instantly, it was a clever gift from a good friend, and as I stated, I've been a fan of Street Fighter since it first hit the arcades, and still play a great bit to this day. They are definetely going on the shelf with my SOTA figures!

I already have PS+. What I did not know though is that you can only have one PSN account on the Vita. My g/f set up her account first. Not happy about that since this is 2014 and we should be able to set up ALL of our PSN accounts on the same device.

Should be around $15. Assuming you're talking about the Transformers generations deluxe figure.

E. Honda! I finally got around to picking up the last of the original world warriors that I needed for my Sota collection. I now have 15 of the original 16 characters from SSF2, with Dee Jay being the one blank space on the shelf. (sadly...)

Got this from The Disney Store yesterday for £10. I don't usually pick up gimmicky figures like this but I have to say, I do like this one.

I hear ya. I have all the SOTA SF figures, loved them all, but wish they could have gotten the last couple waves out. I wanted Rose, Rolento, Queen Bee Cammy, Juli and Juni, Dan?? who am I kidding ....everyone from the Alpha series. I still love my Psycho Power Bison (Transparent Blue w/base).

Can you post links to your youtube page or FB collector page on here? I don't want to get I trouble again. Cause someone reported me for posting an eBay link before. I honestly didn't know I couldn't do that.

So does anyone know?

Nice, I've been looking for that variant E. Honda for a long time now too, but can't find a good price on one. May I ask how much you paid for it?

Nice, I love my SOTA Street Fighters. I'm glad they at least managed to eek out Honda, Zangief and Dhalsim before he line ended.

Not toys, but all the same to me:

We have to return the Chucky set though as Amazon for some retarded reason shipped it in an envelope and it got crushed. I opened it up and had a light rain storm of plastic disc tray pieces.

Hey Phantom...just curious, you mentioned that you wish Dan was released. He was...but as part of the Revolutions wave. I believe he was a Wizard Exclusive. Here he is in case you've never seen him.

OYAJI!

This E.Honda was part of the two pack with the Grey Dhalsim if I'm correct. I picked him up off of ebay for about $20 shipped. I should mention though that the figure was incomplete. While in good condition, he did not come with his additional hands or head. It honestly wasn't too much of a deal breaker for me though, as I rarely swapped the parts of the figures out to begin with due to bad experiences with joints breaking with past SOTA figures (RIP Sagat and Fei Long. The same happened with my Ibuki figure. ) He came already set with the hands and head parts that I would have stuck him with anyways had I gotten the rest, and the extra parts wouldn't have justified the $100+ price tag to get them new in box only to be never used.

Gief and Dhalsim were two of my favorites out of the line, and I've never been a fan of those characters in particular. (My favorite characters are Dictator/M.Bison, T.Hawk, and Blanka.) The interchangeable limbs with Dhalsim made him a really amazing figure.

I'm still furious that Sota put out Rainbow Mika instead of DeeJay, and that he never went through. I'd gladly support a kickstarter for this guy if one was ever done, just to complete my original world warriors set!

Got two of Mattel's Total Heroes Ultra Batman Beyond.

I'm really happy with it. I like it a whole more than the DCUC version (and not just because mine had a horribly-applied bat symbol).

The only thing I like better about the DCUC Terry is the smaller belt. Otherwise the TH one is just about perfect in my eyes.

got 2 prototype Fett's at a local Walgreen's yesterday! also, the other night I saw, but didn't buy, the wolverine poster at a local Micheal's for $15 (might be a slight bigger than the normal 24x36 size) and the firefly dinosaurs at my local Hastings for like $30-40! look kinda neat but not $30-40 neat imo

I had a pretty good weekend, as far as toy hunting is concerned. I finally found Generations Deluxe Rattrap & Tankor, Voyager Sky-Byte & Roadbuster, Legends Nemesis Prime/Spinister & Cliffjumper/Supressor.

In the Hot Wheels category, picked up two new Retro cars to add to my collection: Knight Rider K.I.T.T. (Super-Pursuit Mode) and The Karate Kid Ford Super De Luxe.

I was also very happy to pick up a 6" Black Series Vader. Now he and Bespin Luke will forever duel on my bookshelf. At least neither of them will lose a hand over it.
