I had a strong hunch while at work today, so decided to work up some courage and brave the pegs of a local Walmart on Black Friday, and lone behold, I lucked out and ran into Bebop and Rocksteady. While I know that not a lot of people so far have been thrilled with the designs, I've loved most of the redesigns of the classic characters thus far, and these here were two of the figures coming up that I was most looking forward to, so I was excited to have them.

A note on Bebop, do pay careful attention to the legs of the figure in the packaging when you are picking him up. If you look on the right leg facing you in the picture, you will notice that the bottom portion of his leg is starting to pop off the figure at the knee. Two or three others on the peg had a similar issue, most likely caused by the way he was posed inside the packaging. It's not a really terrible deal, as it was nothing that a hair dryer and a little bit of finesse couldn't solve (Bebop's leg is back where it should be and better than ever,) but it is something you'll want to pay attention to when picking him up, so you can save yourself the trouble entirely.

My only gripe on these is the lack of decent accessories. Would it have hurt to give Bebop and Rocksteady some guns...or at the very least, a scaled up version of the Krang or Tiger Claw's laser pistols? I'm hoping I can find the machine gun to my original Rocksteady figure, and I'm considering picking up another Tiger Claw just so these guys (especially Bebop) have something decent to battle the Turtles with...

I was in Target today to get some groceries and stopped by the gaming department. Unfortunately, they were out of the $25 The Evil Within for PS4. The employee seemed quite amazed at how not even remotely upset I was when I just said, "Oh well, saves me money."

Anyway, I did stop by my usual comic shop since they had 50% off graphic novels and picked these three up:

I would have bought a few more, but I do want to hold on to some of my spending money in case a PS+ card or something figure wise happens to go on sale on Monday.

Ah, the Evil Within. You aren't missing much. One of my biggest disappointments in a console generation full of them. After the first three chapters it turns into a straight-up action game and all of the stealth mechanics are almost entirely useless. Not that they weren't already useless. On my second playthrough, I discovered that jogging past a large group of enemies is apparently just as stealthy as crouch-walking for ten minutes. I paid full price though, so it stung just that much more.

Negative impressions didn't stop me from getting Alien: Isolation today, though. Got a lot of things on Black Friday, actually. Shadow of Mordor, Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel starter pack, TMNT Bebop action figure (not a sale, they just had it). I don't have big expectations for the games, I was just tired of not having anything to play for my dusty Xbox One. Plus I got Bourne Legacy and GI Joe: Retaliation for my brother.

Sadly, no pics. The items have been plundered by family members who are paying me back and then returning them to me later as Christmas presents. It's a weird new thing we all apparently decided to do this year... I must have missed that meeting. *shrug*

Yeah, but for $25, I wanted to give it a try since I used to be a die hard Resident Evil fan. I already expected the game to be just like RE4.

Picked these up today. Been after a Master Chief for a while and I never thought I'd find Punisher so was delighted to see him! And my Halo Mega Bloks collection grows!

Good for you. I picked up that Master Chief last weekend myself. I hadn't bought anything from McFarlane toys in years, but looking at it in person and considering the $14 price I just couldn't resist. My only gripes with it so far are that there are no holes in the feet for bases and he can't really get a good grip on any of his weapons, especially the plasma rifles.

Got the Transformers 4 Voyager Hound for $17. Hound was literally the only part of that movie I enjoyed, and I like how the toy slimmed his gut down. I'll wait to open it until Christmas, delayed gratification at work.

I'm so excited about these ornaments !
Looks like I need to track down any Dollar Trees in my area and search for these !
I'm a sucker for character-themed X-Mas ornaments and decorations, and I've really needed some traditional ball-shaped ornaments to balance out the more modern ornaments on my tree.

Wal-Mart's the only place here that carries them. The past few times I've been in there I've come really close to picking up GL but I can't seem to bring myself to do it for some reason. Guess it's because I'm not really big on 6" figures other than a few rare occasions here and there.
