Ran into one lone TIE pilot today among a sea of Leias and Greedos at TRU. There was no way I was leaving was leaving without him.
While I feel that this may not have been the strongest choice of figures to put out there due to there not being a proper vehicle for him, he does look good on the back of the black speeder bike (even better so since he has the Imperial logo on his helmet and shoulders, matching the speeder,) and fits in nicely with the Shadow Troopers. My only gripes lie in the fact that the peg holes are in the heels of his feet (unlike the Scout Trooper who has them in the front of his foot,) and the fact that I feel a little skimped on accessories. I wish he would have came with a smaller pistol in addition to his blaster. ![]() ![]()

I just found those today too. I just grabbed three at random, I want pretty much every character this time. (swami, hot dog costume, and galaxy trooper)

I finally found a Yoda that didn't have a hand or foot with the nails left unpainted. Anyone else finding that on the Yodas you've spotted so far ?
But anyways, he's such a cool little figure, that the $20 price tag doesn't sting quite as much as I had assumed it would. ![]() The Walgreens I found Yoda at also had two Tie-Fighter Pilots, and while I had assumed that I'd pass on this figure, he looked so good that I just couldn't put him down.

I believe it was one of the Kickstarter figures for the New Gothitropolis stuff from the 4 Horsemen.

This would be his sidekick, Stephen Colbert in any comic would just be a crossover with Tek Jansen (except for when he showed up in Marvel as himself).

First day of sales in France, and as expected, my Monoprix (parisian upmarket Walgreens) discounted the Marvel Infinite figs, I'm so happy! Got some cheap games between 3-10$ as well before scalpers bought them all. Also bought 2 christmas decorations on discount as well, since they are in scale with 3.75 figs, I'll be able to do some nice dios with them.

Picked up a black series malgus and Vader. Man this is the best 3.75 scaled Vader since the force unleased battle damaged one. Put him in a high pitch singing pose with the deactivated lightsaber hilt.

Edit: Rather than make a new post I'll just add to this one. I got my NECA Dog Alien in the mail today and it is a great figure to start the year with. It has a terrific range of motion so I'll just say my nitpicks on that. The joint connecting the head to the neck is loose in some positions but it holds poses well enough, the hinge at the base of the neck is super tight so I can't get it into any actual running pose yet, and the arms aren't solid enough to hold its weight without using both arms. Otherwise the pose is great. The sculpting is terrific as usual, and the paint is also very nice. I'd say the head, particularly the dome, is the best yet from NECA's Alien line. Thankfully it comes with a base to allow it to stand in upright positions because its tiny dog feet need the help, though some poses work without the base if the tail is implemented. It does a good job and looks really good in a quadrupedal position, but like I said without the hinge to make it look up working it just stares at the floor like it's sad or something. ![]()

Amazon had the Sailor Moon reissue for $25 this week so I had to buy a second.
![]() Aside from enjoying owning multiples of figures I really like, the stand on the first release was terrible and mine actually broke a while ago. The rereleases stand is one piece like the rest of the senshi and less prone to breakage. If I was ever going to replace it just for the stand that was the price to do it at. |
