I'm not seeing anything on the cover advertising a poster. But once I get it unwrapped I'll post what I find.

Even though I'm an Outer Limits guy.....those Twilight Zone figs are quite neat looking! I agree that they look better than the ReAction figs (the ReAction figs are cool too...I just prefer the look of the Twilight Zone figs). I wasn't aware of the TZ line, kudos for throwing up some pics and nice touch with the black&white photos.
Hey, thanks! I am not sure if I have seen Outer Limits to be honest. I am trying to finish up the complete series of TZ. I have it on bluray, got it last year and have been trying to watch all of them in order. I am on the last season now. I might give Outer Limits a watch next |

I'm an 'off brand' kind of personality...you like Godzilla...I like Gamera (I like 'Zilla too, but not as much as Gamera). You liked the SNES...I liked the Genesis. If you enjoyed TZ, which was/still is awesome viewing, you will likely also enjoy OL....OL might be considered a bit more cult-ish in fan appeal due to the fact that not many people were aware that there was a 'brand-x' alternative to TZ. Enjoy, I have since childhood! |

The paper stock DC used for the pages feels really nice, along the lines of what Marvel used for the Winter Soldier hardcover that came out last year. It's a large book too, measuring at 11 inches and change.

It's a really nice book. I didn't notice it was taller than the other hardcover books I've got until I put it on the shelf.

Now THAT is one heck of a haul !!!
Impressive ! I've been waiting for someone to show off their purchase of the new Masterpiece Bumblebee ! Are these newer MP Transformers basically Gen-1 accurate counterparts to the old Alternators line ? Are they on par with the Alternators in terms of scale and quality ? I have a few of the earlier US-released Masterpiece TFs, and they're great, but I haven't picked up any of these newer ones based on real-life cars. They look cool, but I'm still on the fence about jumping back into this line.

Not so sure about the one a case thing on Starkiller. Just before Christmas, I spotted nearly what amounted to an entire case on the peg with nothing but SK, roughly about 8 or 9 figures. Things are shipped weird though during the holidays though, so I'm not too curious about it, but I do know that he has been easier to find thus far over Malgus and the new droid.
EDIT: Aw man, it didn't even occur to me that the R5-G19 droid was a new figure (well, a new re-paint) until I read Trivial Psychic's comment. I think I may be picking him up if/when I spot him again.

They look cool, but I'm still on the fence about jumping back into this line. masterpiece figures have nothing to do with alternators and don't scale with alternators either. masterpiece is my absolute favorite currently running toy line. just about all of the figures are fantastic.. bumblebee, prowl, bluestreak, smokescreen, sideswipe, red alert, wheeljack, magnus, rodimus, prime, starscream, skywarp, thundercracker, grimlock.. they're all fantastic.. the cars definitely being the best, specifically the datsuns are AWESOME. they're figures that are supposed to represent the way they were in the cartoon/real versions of the vehicles they were supposed to be. so, all of the cars are licensed. and they're all to cartoon scale.. so, while a VW bug isn't much smaller than the other cars, in this line, it's much smaller because that's the way it was in the cartoon. it's a truly fantastic line, though, it may be pricy if you're looking to catch up. |

The newer figures/cars in this line look fantastic, but I've been questioning whether or not, as only a moderate fan of the Gen-1 era, I can rationalize spending so much per figure. They are soooooo tempting though... However, either way, I'm fairly certain I'm going to pick up Ultra Magnus. I like the character in nearly all of his iterations, and he just looks so impressive, that he'd be hard for me to pass up.

Heres my Frank and Sons Christmas Haul.
The Aoshima Terminator Endoskeleton looks way better than the Recent NECA ones. Here it is on the far right. The one on the left is the Toy Island figure, the one in the middle is the Kenner one. |

Seems like a long time since I posted any hauls. So, here it is.
Got a bunch of games for Christmas, including Disney Infinity 2.0 along with the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 pack with their story mode. Turned out to be a pretty fun game, and the figurines are pretty nifty, basically like Pixar versions of Marvel's heroes. I ended up buying Rocket Raccoon and Hulk myself, along with a bunch of power discs. Basically I got a new addiction for Christmas. Spider-Man and Nova will be next. The NECA Batman was also a Christmas gift. I'm afraid to open it. His torso looks like it may be snapped in half, but it's hard to tell. Something looks off. The body armor has also been placed partially over the utility belt. Still, it looks okay MOC. I'm trying to track down a second Batman before opening this one, just in case. |

To be fair there is no "recent" NECA T-800 Endoskeleton, they're just sticking with the admittedly dated figure from their old Termiator line. The Aoshima Endoskeleton may be a better toy as far as pose and durability, but it isn't as accurate. Aoshima put less sculpted detail into the head, granted it is die-cast so there's less that can be done. The tubes on the shoulders also stick out too much, I don't know if they could be pushed in but that would help. Being die-cast it ought to be more durable than the NECA version, theirs is fairly flimsy. The only other actual advantage Aoshima has in this comparison is that their T-800 is newer and easier to get than the NECA movie T-800, NECA's older stuff can be stupidly priced by sellers. The current Terminator toys from NECA are based on the Robocop vs Terminator video game, so if you aren't into the 16-bit paint scheme and just want a movie version then the Aoshima one seems to be a solid choice. I will say I really dig the 16-bit heavy gunner endoskeleton from NECA, but like I said it's not for everyone.
