..and oh yeah.....that's a sweet ass haul today...!!
the select version IMO is really lacking in the height department compared to the legends version.

YUP!
while the paint is nicer looking on the marvel select hulkbuster, It is definitely smaller then the silvestri hulk, red hulk etc... the legends hulkbuster is VERY compareable in size or bigger then some of the selects.

Yesterday I got these in the mail from BBTS. I decided to get this Bane after deliberating for a month or so since BBTS finally got it back in stock but I decided if I was gonna get Bane then I should get Joker too since I don't have a Joker for my Arkham collection and I really like his Origins design.

I already had the Asylum two pack Bane and am still generally quite happy with it, I just also really wanted to have a Bane that more resembled his typical appearance. The origins Bane is one of his few portrayals that I can say hits the spot with almost no notable screw-ups, most things seem to love making him stupid and/or rather unskilled. The toy looks great on paint and sculpt and though articulation is notably lacking he can still strike some menacing poses. Joker is nice, not great but good. He has a good sculpt with very well applied paint and enough articulation for my needs though ball-hinged shoulders would've been better. My only big problem with the figure is the lack of accessories, even a paring knife could've been an improvement over nothing. Despite being lower on the articulation end of things these two do look great and I'm glad to add them to my Arkham collection.

Then tonight at my local Wal-Mart they had the new Ant-Man Legends wave, strangely the only figure they had left was Wasp. It was an end-aisle display for the movie and all that was there were four Wasp figures, which is good for me since it's the only one I really wanted but also surprising that every other figure sold but Wasp. I'm not complaining since she's the one I wanted most but it is weird especially since the 3.75" Wasp from Marvel Infinite was in very high demand here. Overall it's great and has display options for the wings which is a nice touch and the paint wasn't bad on any of them that I saw.

I saw the exact same thing in 2 targets and a Walmart. I think she may have shipped alone; kinda like Wario shipped alone for the new Nintendo line.

Found Skywarp today while out buying diapers for the baby, thus completing yet another set of seekers. Just waiting on the new leader class figures now.

The new set finally added to the group!

On another note...I thought I'd share this with everyone, because this is starting to get ridiculous. Yes...that's yet another TRU price jump...this time to the Combiner Wars deluxes. A deluxe is now the cost of what used to be a Voyager. Knowing Hasbro, they are probably going to cite costs of production, the packaging, the comics...etc. Well...I'm not buying production, since half of the newer figures that are coming or redecos (Victorion was VERY disappointing) and they can save all kinds of money by getting rid of the pointless comics (half of which have nothing to do with the character being sold) which in turn, reduces the amount of packaging. If Hasbro keeps this up...they're going to start pricing people entirely out of the game. Sheesh.

I think they are trying to justify 20$ because of Marvel Legends and the comic is the BAF part equivalent. But I still get TF figures from HTS or Wal Mart where they are still 15$

Also on a TF Seekers note, You need to go get the Scream, Cracker, and Skywarp from the Armada toys. :-)

They're right about the same...difference is the head moves on the Legends and the biceps twist on the Select. Everything else is pretty much the same.

I love that Select Hulk buster. it looks like the style I remember growing up, and the metallic paint just looks sharp. Plus I like the open hand instead of two fists.

I usually buy most of my TF's from Hasbro Toy Shop, so I'm hoping that this price increase from TRU is not indicative of what Hasbro is planning down the road. Twenty bucks for a deluxe is just too much.

I've come close to buying the Armada versions of the seeker trio, but I have balked on it simply because finding a set in good condition is costly, and it's just too damn much to buy them all new in the packaging. It's a shame, because the newer Armada Screamer was one of my favorite figures from a few years ago.

^If $20 becomes the standard for Deluxe Transformers, that will probably be the impetus I need to shift gears and begin focusing on Takara and 3rd party stuff.
If I'm already having to pay that much, I might as well spend a little more and get superior products.

frank i agree with you 100%. especially since a deluxe is not the same size it use to be. everything transformer wise is shrinking and going up in price. now the 3 3/4 figs have gone up to $13 which is just as ridiculous...

It looks like stopping by the local antique store was worth it, especially with how hard it is to find the General Lee these days.
