I picked up Poe’s X-Wing Fighter Die-cast Vehicle today at a Disney Store. It’s one of their many exclusives for the forthcoming Star Wars film that I didn’t see for sale on their website. Sorry the photo didn’t turn out better but it does have a rather large packaging window that reflects a lot of light.
![]() The store clerk also included a small pamphlet showing the forthcoming Elite figures that will be released later this year. Darth Maul: September 28 General Grievous: October 26 Darth Vader: November 23 Boba Fett: December 7 There’s also a forthcoming mystery figure to be released on December 18.

The fighter appears to be right at 5 1/2 inches in length. Cost is $9.95 + sales tax.

I would have thought that could be easily remedied with some paint. As it is, it really stands out on the back of the Stormtrooper. Hopefully the Kylo Ren that I ordered this evening through their website doesn't show that problem so readily.

^^ is there a way someone could pick me up one and the white and blue ship? I don't have a Disney store around here and people are asking more than 20-30 for them?

Scavage is pretty cool, I passed on him in favor of Renegade and Cracked Tusk since the unpainted netting really doesn't bother me. I got all of series 10 back in 2013 and since I like Nightstorm's look a lot more than Scavage it made passing up Scavage a hell of a lot easier, he is still a little bit tempting occasionally. Black/dark blue and faded gold > teal green and silverish IMO.

Snagged this in Barnes & Nobles...had no idea they even sold things like this..plus star wars black series figs, other SH Figuarts series. B&N is now on my "stop by" store list.
![]() Just a comparison pic..three Elites on the left..and the even taller black series (new) Chewbacca...love the scale.. ![]() A few more finds..I don't think i even want finn and rey..anyone have a Black Series 6 in first order stormtooper to trade? that's the only one i couldn't find... ![]() I'll swing through today and take a look..

Driop a friend off at work this morning and saw a goodwill next to his job so I decided to kill a few minutes and found a bad that said 5 bucks plus extra 50% off for some reason and bam a 2pack silver surfer asm 2green goblin with glider a doctor who fob watch it talks too and finally a small chest with dragon eggs from a game of thrones toy. Yes the eggs are removable and look good for a doc strange dio in either the 3 3/4 to 6 inch scale.
![]() Had to edit because forgot to put the pic up.

Got a little lucky today, I ran into a little old lady today at Target today who needed some help picking out a Star Wars gift for her 7 year old grandson. After helping her pick out some of the new SW Mashers (which I think are incredible, and might be picking some up...) I was about to leave the aisle with my own disappointment of having not found what I was looking for when she told me that there was another display inside of Target with even more SW stuff. Curious...I went to go check it out, and lone behold, I found what I was looking for.
![]() I saw her again as I walked to the check out line and thanked her for having pointed me in the right direction, because I otherwise would have missed out. Upon seeing Kylo, she asked if they had any more, and sure enough, I was able to find one (the last one no less) for her as well. So her grandson will get an awesome set of Mashers (Vader and the Stormtrooper) and a Black Series Kylo Ren for his birthday next week. It sure felt good to pay it forward. That said...be sure to check the Seasonal/Halloween display at your local Target, as two of the stores I went to today had 2 separate displays in them, one in the toy aisle, and one by the Halloween costumes. So finally got a pic of last nights haul...
![]() Went to TRU first, was third in line and after 2 hours of waiting found to my dismay they only received one case of Black Series like many stores, so first two in line cleaned out all but the Finn I grabbed. Moved on to a Walmart on the way back home and luckily they had no clue what they were supposed to be doing. After helping an employee open cases, scored. The last pallet we opened had Black Series but by time we opened it at 1am the TRU crowd had arrived behind me. Was able to get first choice at the Black series though and quickly snagged the rest needed. Went back today and grabbed a few of the smaller scale to see they were cleaned out of almost everything. Tonight TRU, Target, and 2 Walmarts officially have no figures left except mashers and little in the die-casts. I would say this was a success for retailers here. Quote:
i would have to disagree. retailers may be cleaned out of the action figures.. but none of them seemed to have enough stock to please everyone.. hell, a lot of them only had enough to please 2 people. that's awful for such a big, heavily promoted event.
i read somewhere that hasbro wasn't prepared for this to be such a big deal and weren't able to supply retailers with enough stuff. if that's true, i think they and the retailers missed out on a much much bigger day. Quote:
I was really speaking more to my specific area but I do agree that some were not prepared. For example, my local TRU only receiving one case of Black Series was a missed opportunity.
On the other side though, my local Target and multiple Walmarts started with huge supplies and now have nothing left, I think they would call that a success. Should some have bought more? Maybe so but then at some point they decide the risk of how many peg warmers or dead stock they want to discount and we know they have been burned before, slave Leia, Obi Wan. Now with that said, I don't think Star Wars is a huge gamble for them and don't see it ending with stock like Phantom Menace did but when you think about how much they are buying for each store in a nationwide event for an unreleased movie I don't think we were going to get perfect. Trust me I am the guy frustrated every time we have an exclusive or event that employees don't seem to know enough about but I think overall Hasbro and most retailers are probably happy with the results from the figure sales and it should drive us getting more figures for the next year. I do hate it for anyone that missed out especially those that because of location didn't have a participating local store. I had to deal with it for many years before I moved from a lower population area and even though online retailers had much of these figures and toys still stocked into early yesterday nothing is like finding it in the wild. Is that Batman cowl adult sized? I might want to use it for my own costume purposes.

I would use it as a sort of mannequin head to figure out fabrics. Did the head seem adult sized?

Yeah on ebay there's a clear desirability gap, Nightstorm goes for $40 to $70 while Scavage is $20 to $30 and I had a way easier time spotting Scavage at stores. Both are very cool anyway. I love all of the Kenner tributes NECA has done so far and I'll recommend any or all of them.

The location I visited had no elite figures whatsoever. They had a quite a few die-cast vehicles and plenty of the Kylo Ren lightsabers.
