I don't know that I've seen anyone so lethal from the perimeter, they are a fun team to watch.
Since he's a smaller dude and consists of less material than LeBron does, I'd have thrown a tiny Riley Curry into the set. With her own little microphone. Hilarity ensues.

Was feeling nostalgic and picked up these two, loose.

The "Admiral" David Robinson has always been my Favorite player. I work with the Pacers so it is awesome seeing Larry Bird on occassion. I have shared a couple elevator conversation with him and he is just an awesome guy.

Kinda sad that I am in a NBA facility and only care about players from the 90s and early 2000s

Does Kobe retiring make anyone else feel old?

I was a huge Seattle supersonics fan (undefeated since 2008 ) so needless to say the NBA is kind of dead to me. I'll watch the finals and maybe some playoff games but that's about it. It's just not that exciting anymore, I'll stick to march madness. Bird is a legend so that's awesome. Kobe should have called it quits a few years back. the splash bros are fun to watch.

I know I'm in the very small minority.. But I've never understood the appeal of basketball.

That's a very common and popular opinion on forums where people who like nerdy stuff gather, it's kinda nice to see a small discussion about it break out here.
There's no mystifying secret or nuance to it, athletic human contest either appeals to you or it does not. To each his or her own. I grew up a jock/nerd hybrid, so I enjoy most sports on some level. I have a favorite team in every sport but basketball, I really enjoy the game, though.

I would definitely say I'm a nerd before I'm a sports guy, basketball is the only sport I watch and I can't play it worth a damn. On the other hand I'm proficient at looking at pictures with word bubbles around them

I couldn't agree more. Toys and sports are some of the few things I truly enjoyed as a child and adult. Nothing better than owning a punk on the court or gridiron, or watching Seahawks football (or any football) and my zags play basketball. The atmosphere live is something else too, I've always wanted to watch a ball game down south. Plus now there are some great sports toys like McFarlane etc. Great distractions.

I used to be a Jazz fan as a kid, but I fell out of love with basketball when Karl Malone left to join the Lakers...it left me really torn. I wanted him to get a ring, but with the Lakers? Ugh. It was almost as bad as Mike Mussina leaving the Orioles to join the Yankees.

While I don't follow the NBA like I used to (or at all anymore for that matter,) I've always been a huge Kevin Garnett. There was always something about his play and fire that reminded me so much of the Mailman...and as so, I ended up following the T-Wolves for a long while after Malone's betrayal. I hope Enterbay ends up making one of him someday in his classic T-Wolves get up (even though the poor guy never won a ring with them, he is and always will be a Wolf to me.) Sometimes you do get to go home.

I used to play baseball, soccer, and skateboard as a kid, and I've always been a football fan as well. I really wish Enterbay, Hot Toys...somebody would expand to these sports. I'd buy a Rodney Mullen (pro skater) or a Cal Ripken Jr. figure in a heartbeat...

I am happy that he's back...I remember seeing the highlights last year of his return home, and it gave me chills.

The Wolves seem to have a good group of young players this year with Rubio, Wiggins and Martin, I know KG isn't getting a whole lot of playing time, but hopefully they can at least pull together one last good run with the big man before he calls it a day.

Today's Ebay haul. I snagged all the carded figures as part of a lot. Came out to about 12 bucks per figure shipped. Pretty happy with it considering that the Wolverine and Scarlet Spider are generally over $40 each. I already have a number of the figures but meh, fodder bin here they come.

Damn man...that's an epic legends haul!

Just curious...since you customize, do you know if the hands for the Pizza or Scarlet Spider bodies fit on that old Spiderman/Scarlett Spider buck without a lot of modding? I was thinking about picking up an additional Scarlett Spider or two so I could get the spare thwipping and crawling hands to customize as a swappable pair for my Scarlett Spider/Future Foundation Spidey...

Sorry for the 'tater pic, just wanted to take a quick snap. I had to grab this because I can't remember the last time - or indeed at all - I saw blue-hat Mario merch. It makes me happy. Or at least slightly less sad.

Unfortunately I am not sure. I have only done a few customs and I never experimented with the buck Scarlet is on. I would suspect they will fit although it may be a case of having to heat the joint to remove and add hands rather than having the easily swappable type of the Pizza Spidey or Iron Fist figures. I suspect it comes down to how tight the joint is and the type of peg used on the hands.

My team of choice, above all others, is the Chicago Bears. So that's a fresh new hell every Sunday, isn't it? I do have some football robots and NFL happy meal toys, I think I gravitate more towards the weird novelty stuff than what McFarlane offers. I did just buy a Dallas Stars Tyler Seguin OYO (pseudo Lego) minifigure, those are pretty fun.

It's a very extensive retool of the Fall of Cybertron Grimlock mold. So, it's a Voyager, and scales much better with the RiD line.

I happily donate my body to such a cause. Peace in our time. Imagine that!

It looks like it's mostly based on the FoC voyager so probably still the same size but the dino legs look a tad taller.

Edit: I was typing this while Brownfinger was typing his so ignore this if you want.

Oh, then you do follow some basketball....I thought I was giving you a nugget of info as an early X-mas gift lol

KG does have a nice group of young payers with him. Wiggins is the most notable IMO. Rubio, I'm not so sure about...while his court vision is prolific, he's not a scoring threat (similar to an aging Rondo), which turns the game into a 4 on 5 when they are on offense.

It's almost too bad that the Warriors will likely dominate the west (and the league) for the foreseeable future. Much of the young talent in the west will end up languishing as frustration builds in an attempt to unseat Golden State...very much like the east and Jordan's Bulls circa the 90's. While watching this spectacle is fun and historic, it's going to be rough on players in an already stacked conference to see the same team emerge year after year from the west.
