Nope. I got him at a local comic shop. My targets and trus are filled with nothing but hyperions and grim reapers.

OK thanks, yeah I'm not sure why they bought so many of that lot - or was it a case where they just didn't sell well?

Yeah, I'm still shocked I lucked out and got a gold variant.
I woulda been content with the non-variant Batgirl.
I'm contemplating buying another, because I'd love to have the non-variant Batman as well. I just don't want to get stuck with one of those Borderlands or Fallout POPs.

After a 60 min back and forth with myself yesterday, i decided to PASS on the new DC icons...finger was on the trigger...and ever so slightly squeezing...but i let off.....
Fast Forward to today....shots fired!!

Green lantern was cool..but didn't like his price...will grab it elsewhere.. Didn't really care for Lex Luthor..so I don't think I'm going to get that one.

Really liking the sculpt and poseability on these...especially Black Adam...BUT...his joints were kinda on the loose side..i can hold the top half and swing his lower half back and forth...aside from that...good stuff..

^ Those look really cool and tempting, but I can't get over the scale.

Do you think that the hands for Black Adam could be adapted for use to the Black Series Palpatine?

How is the quality and durability on these figures? Are they as fragile as many of the other newer DC Collectibles figures?
I've heard that they're a vast improvement over the easily broken Batman TAS figures, but I'm still on the fence about these.
I've passed on Batman and Green Arrow multiple times, and I'm really tempted to grab Blue Beetle, as well as Harley, Superman, and Static once they're released, but as great as they look, I absolutely hate having to repair figures the second I've removed them from their packaging.

DC has fixed the problems with the TAS line.

Yeah, only the first four had any problems and even then it was really just Batman, the other three were a bit better. Immediately with the Joker set there has been a vast improvement in durability and they got rid of those visible pin holes. I'll admit I was scared of messing with Batgirl but I'd say she's insanely well put together for such a thin figure.

Dreadnox did a really thorough review of the Batman Icons figure and specifically talked about this point. From what he said, they are considerably better than prior DC Collectibles figures. His review is linked in the Icons specific thread.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll definitely check it out.

That's good to know. There have been a few I've wanted to pick up, but I've been wary.
Looks like I'll be playing catch-up and tracking down what I've missed so far !

As of now I've got Two-Face, Joker, and Batgirl. Bane and Scarecrow just arrived from the mail today and I'll wait to open them but they look really good, Bane's eyes weren't exactly in alignment but I imagine it's very difficult to line up those teeny tiny black dot pupils. I'd recommend any of the three I have and looking at Tony's galleries here on the Ark they all seem good beyond those first four. If you're interested in TNBA Batman, Two-Face, Catwoman, or Mr. Freeze just be cautious, mainly with Batman and Catwoman's ankles.

During the Summer I found the RotS red clone commander which I had kinda always wanted since its initial release and he wanted like eight or ten dollars for it and I was just like "here's $5" and he was just like "okay." It was still perfectly MIB so I though that was a pretty good negotiation. I've also gotten the Pacific Rim Leatherback/ Gipsy Danger two pack for only $45 even though the asking price was $60, nabbed a NES Robocop for $18 still sealed in its wrap even though it was still a recent release, and many more! The flea market can be a great place to score cool toys or just a mild waste of time where all I do is walk around and see some neat stuff but leave empty handed.

The only thing I've got lately is two play arts solid snake jungle figures, and I'm just not feeling it. He's a lot bigger than what I had thought and won't fit in with anything I own. I got one for me and one for a local dude, but he went back on paying me and starting dodging my calls, so I'm SOL. Haha. I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

I'm debating on whether or not I should preorder the new Spider-Man wave... But since the snake debacle, I'm a bit broke. Damn, right before Christmas too.

And now, my pity party is done. I paid 90 each. I'll sell them for 80 shipped. Pics are in my trade list. Sorry if this the wrong place.

That's exactly why I love the flea market, though the ones I go to usually have at least one must-have item

No they've never done a second take on the first four, but Joker wasn't in the first four so you can buy him with no worries. Joker was actually the first really good figure in the line as far as no issues across the board. Joker is readily available online at most places unless you're very particular about paint apps but even then I've never heard anything bad about the Joker's paint from anyone. Regarding Two-Face, it's really only his legs that have ever been reported to break (mine didn't) but just because of how he's proportioned it's not like you were ever gonna do anything dynamic with those legs other than just stand so it's not necessarily a deal breaker however I did see more Two-Face figures with bad paint so that one would be a lot better to get in person to make sure that he's actually cleanly split down the middle on his colors. I had my pick between two Two-Face figures and one was clean and well painted while the other was more sloppy and less evenly divided.

yeah.. and even then, my series 1 batman was perfectly fine (and still is) i haven't had any problems with any of the early figures.

i love this line.. i picked up phantasm today, she looks fantastic, and i'll be grabbing croc tomorrow.. the paintwork on these figures is really great. the lines are so clean, and just look so good.

this line is definitely one favorite currently running lines.
