The Marvel Shape Shifters were done by Toy Biz long before Hasbro did Crossovers. IIRC, they were KB Toys exclusives in the United States and did not do very well (as shown by that price tag). I remember back then Marvel fans didn't like them (little to no articulation to the figures, unless it was due to the transformations, sculpts were ruined by the gimmick, etc, etc.) and Transformers fans didn't like them because they weren't TFs and treated them like knock-offs. In my personal opinion, they were worse than Crossovers. Look at poor Morph - he shoots a missile out his ass! Of course, now they're a great little novelty, especially as a precursor to Crossovers. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the guys who worked on the Shape Shifters ended up working on Crossovers too. On a side note, KB itself went out of business for good about 2-3 years ago.

They're so terrible. Either Morph or Iron Man got the worst of it. It's almost like they weren't even trying, making Rhino into a Rhino. I'm glad someone out there enjoys them. I don't think I ever would. |

Is the Punisher one real? If so, I'm picking that sucker up. Talk about a conversation piece.... "Is there a missile launcher coming out of that guy's crouch?" Simple answer: "Yes." |

I think Venom, Morph, Sabretooth... Quote: I think he knows what he means, it was from the cartoon series, when sinister 6 got together I believe. They made these huge robotic scorpions that connected/stacked on top of eachother. They each shot lazers from their tails. I used to have a few of them. I would be interested in that ironman figure that turns into an axe post pictures and who knows I might pm u about it lol. Tri-Spider Slayer - Spider-Man New Animated Series this is what he meant, I'm pretty sure. I'm not completely sure. Might have given it to the cousin. Also that's not the spider slayer I had, mine was a black single scorpion. Although frankly my spidey figures have all disappeared... My house sucks, ha ha ha! Oddly enough that spider bat is pretty accurate to his shinobi counterpart... I had that, the regular one, and a metal one. Last edited by yourfacehere; 04-17-2012 at 11:45 AM.. |
