Same thing with Star Wars. Not one Target in Los Angeles has series 2. They keep stocking series one black series. The 6inch is least stocked with series 2 minus boba fett. I don't get why they haven't got series 2 of the 3.75 all they restock is series 1

Okay I don't have a pic but I snagged MU Omega Red, X-Force Nightcrawler, Aurora, and Black Knight. not sure if I'm keeping the last two but they are decent looking figs.

I really hope that Wal-Mart is going to be carrying these ML Infinite Series figures (wow, I never thought I'd ever say anything remotely positive regarding Wal-Mart, lol). Collectively, my local Targets had every figure BUT the one I wanted; Black Cat. If the SW Black line is any indication, there will be plenty of Spideys and Doc Ock Spideys clogging the pegs, while we all wait patiently for a new case to arrive and quickly be picked over. If Target isn't going to restock as quickly as we would like, then I'd like the option of snagging my Black Cat somewhere else. Since the IM3 Legends line was at most major retailers, I am assuming that this one will be too. Fingers crossed, lol

Nice review Kunica44, now I have a new blog to frequent! Here's my discount haulage today. Found agent K for $3 at Tuesday morning, the sky lander towers on clearance for $14 each (gonna build a custom castle gray skull and save over $300, won't be as nice but I ain't payin what Mattel is asking) and a robocop.

So this ended up being a terrible day: woke up to find that the water pipes burst and, in addition to flooding the kitchen and living room, the water also ended up shorting out a few power outlets, light fixtures and even one of our heaters.
Got something awesome in the mail though: ![]() Quote:
I was pretty shocked to see them myself. The only figure I opted not to pick up was Azrael...there was something about the figure that just didn't appeal to me. I also passed on the armored Batman...didn't care all that much for the metallic paints. The figures themselves are rather nice, they look pretty good in scale with other 3.75" figures, although I really dislike the fact that they come with little to nothing in the way of accessories. Not even a Batarang or grapple gun for batman, and no weapons at all for Bane (granted, he doesn't need them, but still, a submachine gun at least would have been nice.) Thankfully, I still have plenty of leftovers from my g.i.joe: poc figures. Hopefully GunRunners will be putting out some Batarangs or something in a future set.

It took 8 different Targets and 2 TRU's but I found them. Out of all those stores, only 1 had a Black Cat and Carnage left, every other store those were missing. Also only 1 store had Zemo and Skull. I ended up finding AIM and Hydra soldiers at 4 different places. I wanted 3 troops each, and I am done. The old wallet is in pain and I am done for the month. I only will break if I can find a Superior Spider-Man that is not painted like crap. I could not find a single one out of 10 I saw today that had the nose circle in the middle of his face, they were all off center.
![]() The new Marvel set up at Targets. only 4 stores I went to were set up already. ![]() ![]() Also every Target that had the new setup done had the new Batman 3 3/4 inch figures, and endcap of 3 3/4 Cap and Spidy 2 figures. But nothing new for Star Wars and Transformers. Last edited by Phantomcrow; 01-09-2014 at 01:59 AM.. |

I received these in the mail yesterday. The blister cards aren’t in good shape thanks to the wonderful package handling skills of the USPS.

To me, that speaks of Target's distribution system being the issue, not the individual manufacturers. Besides, Hasbro does not ship directly to individual Targets or Walmart stores. National chains like those have their own distribution centers where product is doled out to the individual stores. Of course, if the product hasn't reached their main distribution center(s) yet....

![]() Got this from ebay today for about $14 after using some ebay bucks. I'm also still searching for the new Cap and Spidey ML series, but don't have much to report. Toys R Us and Target are both completely wiped out and barren as they have been for several weeks now, although Target seems to have at least put up the display pegs for both lines. Just a matter of time now. |

FINALLY FOUND HIM!
![]() The other day, I was sitting there looking over my pre-order list at BBTS (Big Bad Toy Store) and viewing the boards here, and after seeing the success everyone was having finding these in the wild, I decided to go ahead and cancel my preorder for the ML ASM2 wave, and try my luck. Three Targets later, and all that's left now is Carnage or Toxin, who I'll honestly probably just feed a scalper for since they're not too ridiculous in price. Saved me a hell of a lot of money though considering how much the set was at BBTS! ![]() ![]() Which brings me to a question I was wondering among all of you...do you think that the prices at many third party suppliers like BBTS, ToyWiz, Toynk, etc are starting to get a bit out of hand? They're starting to get to approach the level of scalpers. I've been a loyal BBTS shopper for a long time now, but the prices on the ASM2 and the Captain America waves were pretty ridiculous, nearly twice that of retail (with little to no options to buy outside of complete sets,) and don't even get me started on ToyWiz. Their prices are insanity at times, and I've often had better luck on ebay. While the luxury of being able to pre-order is nice, and sometimes they do have some very good deals (BBTS pile of loot service is outstanding and a steal!) but I don't know, I'm pretty torn about it, and I hate feeling ripped off. Even more shameful about it all, is that this is money that Hasbro, Mattel and others is just leaving on the table due to their shady distribution practices and general lack of product. I don't know, perhaps I'm rambling. I'm just curious as to what some of you guys think... |

I've refused to order through Toywiz for years. BBTS's prices are quite often ridiculous these days, but their pile of loot option is truly useful and sometimes it's worth paying a little extra for the convenience. Amazon has been getting better at offering pre-orders for a lot of upcoming toys, though, so more and more of my stuff is being ordered through them.
And nice score! I'm on the lookout for Red Skull and Hydra Agents as well. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks that we're getting bilked by the third party stores as well. I keep forgetting that Amazon is out there as a valid option for collecting, despite the fact I've used them in the past. =P Thanks for the heads up! I ran into the Hydra and A.I.M agents tonight when I found Skull, but I decided to pass on them. I'm planning on building Mandroid, but I opted for Zemo and Skull only, since they have the same BAF parts, and I didn't want to sucker myself into an obligation to army build in buying the grunts. I suppose I could get the Hydra Agent just so I could have "Bob"...but then I'd need a ML Deadpool, and the red version of that guy is just a bit out of my price range LOL! |

.. i NEVER buy mass released retail figures from them though.. it makes absolutely no sense to me when people do that.. unless you live in east bumbledouche, you'll almost always be able to find what you want at retail.. i don't need to pay extra just because i want something early. and for most people there are usually several walmarts, targets, TRU's, and comic book shops where they live.. it's just a matter of going to those stores and actually looking. hell, i don't usually look in stores until like 7pm, and there hasn't been a single toy that i've missed out on, and there's never been something that's been hard to find that i hadn't seen at least twice in stores. i imagine BBTS's prices keep rising because almost all prices are rising for stuff.. now toywiz.. they're insane and their prices are terrible. but with BBTS, their prices for things that can't be found at typical US retail stores are rather good in my opinion. for the transformers masterpiece cars, i've seen that robotkingdom.com sells them for considerably less than BBTS, but when i calculated shipping and what not into the equation, BBTS was only $7 more and i would only have to wait 4 days rather than 2-4 weeks. (had i done EMS shipping it would've been the same price as BBTS) so.. i figure the $7 extra was worth getting the toy a hell of a lot sooner, and the piece of mind that their customer service would remedy any problem if one had arisen. so yeah.. for non US retail items i use BBTS.. otherwise, i can wait and find the toy in stores. |

But yeah, I've got quite a few DCC and McFarlane toys pre-ordered through Amazon. I wouldn't have my 6" Boba Fett if it weren't for them. I pre-ordered as much stuff as I could while I still had a Prime trial going - free two day shipping FTW! |
