I think my favorite thing about those 1/18 DC figures is the "HIGHLY DETAILED AND AUTHENTIC". Yeah no kidding they're authentic, they're by Mattel and sold in retail establishments! It's like they're saying, "We know our products look like garbage, and have garbage articulation, but they're not bootlegs, we PROMISE."

And normally I would have skipped all of the Arkham Origins/City designs, but I like the Medieval theme of Azrael's outfit. Makes me want to pose him fighting Marvel's Black Knight.

They may not be on par with MU as far as 3.75" figures go, but what is these days? I guess since I grew up in the heyday of Kenner's original Star Wars toys and old-school ARAH Joes, it doesn't bother me as much as some. Back then, any articulation was a blessing and everything else my toys did when I was a kid came from my imagination.

That was very nice of the manager to give you the gift card. They will report that type of refund fraud to corporate and damage out those figure so no harm to them. They wouldn't get in trouble for the return so there wasn't a need to "cover themselves" with the act. Chances are they noticed you are a routine customer and acted like a true business should and keep their customer happy. Very nice!

I was still able to find the item at walmart. I've pointed out stolen, damaged and switched items I think at every store I frequent and haven't gotten crap...
I can understand how frustrating TRU can be. Unfortunately TRU has a very wish-washy price match policy that has changed week to week at times. I worked at a TRU from 2005 until the end of 2013 and I have seen many instances where they waffle on what their policy is but this is generally caused by poor communication and execution on the corporate level that trickles down to the stores and hurts the customers. With a large retail chain like TRU you will get the inconsistencies as well as poor managers here and there who do not act in the best interest of customer service. It's unfortunate that you had an incident like that like I said though it's rare that the store ever gives out gift cards for just noticing an issue with merchandise.

Yup I agree. I don't know which state you worked in, but this one in southern Cali has the best service I've ever seen. The store is always clean and all the reps are helpful. Everytime I have needed something they go beyond their means. They once didn't have an item which showed they had like 5 in stock and shipped to me for free. Don't know if they even charge for shipping but they got it to me for free. By the way, what you are telling me is that people can buy items out the wrong item and return it and no one notices or some reps just let it slip?

Went to TrU today and picked up this Radagast !
Oh yeah, btw, I was reading about the swap-out that thieves had been pulling with the Spidey Legends figures, and today at Target I spied a Superior Spidey package that someone had returned with the Miles Morales Ultimate Spidey figure from the Wal-Mart exclusive Amazing Spider-Man Movie Legends line placed in it Seems like this is becoming a widespread problem !

He's 6" scale. His coat is amazingly detailed, and fortunately, the designers of this figure chose to downplay the bird droppings in his hair and beard, lol! He's an excellent figure, but not nearly as awesome as the Azog figure from the same wave.

Yeah, I was there last week, and they had restocked some of the earlier waves. Chances are, they may have had some of the newer ones too, but Joes in my area don't stay on the pegs very long.
I, regrettably, passed on the first Joe Colton that I had ever seen that didn't have crossed eyes. When I went back to TrU yesterday, he was gone

Ugh...I know EXACTLY how that feels. I had a similar experience recently when I found my Baron Zemo Marvel Legend fig...I had passed on him a day or two earlier (I know little to nothing about the character) but once I realized that I was probably going to buy the rest of the line, I figured I'd go back for him and pick him up anyways so I could complete the BAF. My guts simply just sank to the floor when I didn't see him on the peg when I went back. I searched up and down the aisle like crazy though, and through sheer luck, I found him a bit further down the aisle, (stacked on the peg in between a couple of ML clearance Hope Summers and Klaw figures.) Thankfully, like his Marvel Universe fig which loiters my local Target's shelves, I guess people in my area don't give a rip about Baron Zemo. I made sure not to pass on him that time.

That's good to hear about your TRU experience. I worked at a TRU in New York (not in the city though). The customer service associate probably will not realize their mistake unless they are well informed on the item being returned. This is how many people take advantage of retailers like TRU, Walmart, or Target. It's a shame that there are people who take advantage of this and they give collectors a bad name.

90% of TRU's perform their yearly inventory between now and mid-February. It's shortly after that they not only replenish items that they are low on but also you will see many items drop to a clearance price once they realize the sales figures on the items. Keep an eye out for the deals then.

I wonder if he will have that USB shank thing in his wrist that he used to stab the dad from that 70's with in the old movie in the new one.

@frank Richards I'm glad they took the bird poop off of radagasts face.

I picked up batman and el jefe at target. No sign of freeze or azrael.

Just got these Iron Man Avengers for 6$ on clearance at my LCS. For POA issues I would have prefered some IM2 deep diver or stealth op, but they'll do the trick as Ultron Drones!
