This arrived from a very friendly seller on eBay. My most expensive toy (unless you include my replica Proton Pack)!

You can see Lego stuff behind them, and also a Star Wars 3.75" figure, so no. These look to be the usual Hot Toys 1:6 scale.

Here are a few items I scored from Amazon, which arrived today, along with a TRU purchase.
BTW, for you SW 6" Black collectors who still need Jabba and/or a Biker Scout, get to Amazon ASAP ! I scored Jabba for about $15 and the Biker for a little over $20. They've gone up over the past day or so, but still worth picking up at their current discounted prices. Hurry ! ![]()

To be fair there is no "recent" NECA T-800 Endoskeleton, they're just sticking with the admittedly dated figure from their old Termiator line. The Aoshima Endoskeleton may be a better toy as far as pose and durability, but it isn't as accurate. Aoshima put less sculpted detail into the head, granted it is die-cast so there's less that can be done. The tubes on the shoulders also stick out too much, I don't know if they could be pushed in but that would help. Being die-cast it ought to be more durable than the NECA version, theirs is fairly flimsy. The only other actual advantage Aoshima has in this comparison is that their T-800 is newer and easier to get than the NECA movie T-800, NECA's older stuff can be stupidly priced by sellers. The current Terminator toys from NECA are based on the Robocop vs Terminator video game, so if you aren't into the 16-bit paint scheme and just want a movie version then the Aoshima one seems to be a solid choice. I will say I really dig the 16-bit heavy gunner endoskeleton from NECA, but like I said it's not for everyone.
Are the Aoshima 7" figures die cast? I saw a lot of them online but not in person. I have the 12" die-cast aoshima and it is pretty awesome. they failed a bit by making a die cast figure with plastic joints so you have to be careful. Many of the side by side comparisons I have seen online show that the aoshima is really close to the hot toys T-800, and a lot cheaper. If the 7" is die-cast I am totally getting it. |

I was mistaken, apparently the regular 7" version is not die-cast I just read that the 12" version was die-cast or something and assumed they all would be. I don't have one so maybe there are some parts in die-cast but I wouldn't know for sure. I did look one over in the box at my local Hastings once but it is painted silver so it's hard to say without opening one or reading more thoroughly through the web if it is die-cast at all. If it isn't die-cast I'd say it still probably has the endurance advantage over NECA's endoskeleton because Aoshima sculpted less of the finer details which makes part of it more solid. There's more than likely a decent review or better on youtube that'd say how good it is and if it's die-cast or not.
If it is die-cast I will purchase it post haste! I am in the middle stages of re-painting the NECA 18" endo in chrome. Can't wait to finish it. If that works out well I may consider chroming the aoshima one. |

Was very happy to find one of the Metal TF Megatron signs at Hobby Lobby. Could not tell from online pics that the sign was 15.5 inches tall. They were resetting and had a lot of new stuff.
![]() ![]() ![]() Also saw these little metal shopping carts. ![]() It says Decorative Use Only - Not a toy ??? ![]() They don't know how my mind works at all :-) ![]() |

The Megatron mug came from a X-mas gift set I found on clearance at K-mart after the holidays. Prime is on one side and Megatron is on the other. Just some little Hot Cocoa and cookies set with a mug that was 6$ marked down to 2$ and change. I just happen to have the mug within reach and needed something to brace the Megs sign.

Also spotted these Ultimate Spider Man Web Warriors figures at TRU. Could really not care about them since they are 5 point articulation except that the Miles Morales comes out to about the correct size he should about be when put next to a Marvel Legends.
![]() ![]() Also saw a couple of the new Monster High Original Ghouls Collection Dolls. They are reissues of the original dolls in their first outfits, but in brand new boxes minus the pets and diary. ![]() Last edited by Phantomcrow; 01-15-2015 at 10:41 AM.. |
