Huh those look pretty cool. Are they exclusive to one place and is there a Green Lantern and Harley?

If Mattel drops the ball, yet again, with their upcoming attempt at relaunching their 6" DC line, it would be nice to see NECA get the license to do a line of comic-based DC figures.

It would be 7" instead of 6" though. Plus NECA has yet to make any comic figures (I don't really count the comic predators they've done so far). I've been relying on DCC for my 6" and 7" DC comic figures. DC Icons looks promising from DCC. Even if Mattel drops the ball they still have master toy rights and I doubt they'll let those go.

i wish neca had a wider range on the license. i'd absolutely love to see more burton era figures.. like a nicholson joker, a catwoman, a penguin (the 1/4 version turned out great).. and with those i'd also love to see a burton era batmobile and bat plane.

While I found what will probably be AJ Lee's final figure at TRU today. Shame she retired so soon...would have loved to see her in the ring with some of the new NXT Divas, which in actuality is the best thing WWE has going for it right now. [/QUOTE] Agreed. WWE sure could use both, MR. and Mrs. Punk. |

No one's gonna see a Jack Nicholson Joker that actually looks like him and costs less than Hot Toys' price, his likeness rights aren't included with the film rights and apparently his rights are ridiculously expensive for very little options besides the Joker. A 7" scale Devito Penguin is actually possible now with NECA's new arrangement with DC/WB (hopefully they can do some that don't require a DVD purchase), and maybe later then a Christian Bale Batman since they're doing the 1/4 Begins figure. Vehicles could be possible since they did the bladefighter for the Predator line and the powerloader for Aliens but neither of those would be as big as an in-scale Batmobile or Batwing so the price would probably be staggering for either, certainly a beautiful piece if they ever do but so much fiscal investment.

I've seen that at too many stores and even talked out loud when an employee is standing by, that they should be marked to $5 in order to sell otherwise they will survive the apocalypse.

You have to keep in mind many stores, especially the big retail chains, don't look at the sales per individual figure, and look at the stocked up as the line as a whole not moving anymore. This is also why rebranding happens so often to lines. So to a retailer it's not that same line that clogged shelves(even though it was one figure) it's a new line that has yet to prove itself of a property that's mostly already proven itself. Rebranding makes a line the fresh new thing even though it's really still the same old thing only refreshed to get the new figures out and around that backlog of one character that clogged shelves. |

I hear ya. But it's either make a buck or dont. They aren't making any money just sitting there, accumulating either. At least go 50% off on items that stack up like that. No way will they sell those all at $20 a pop. There should be an option for them to send them back to Hasbro or something for a credit or exchange for newer items. Peg warming is why stores around me are never stocked with anything good. They aren't going to order any more until those sell, and they wont sell.

Good afternoon to all! I'm stocking up on these figures because I believe that with the upcoming movie, the popularity of this character is just going to grow and they will be even harder to find and very expensive (even more than now, I paid $150.00 each in 2 separate auctions). I have 3 now.

I never saw the red one at retail, there were a few weeks where the grey version was peg warming but I figured I'd wait on the variant. I agree with you, if the DP movie is as big a success as I think it will be your going to see a lot of new fans get on board and all DP stuff is going to go crazy. especially since it doesn't look like Hasbro is going to put out anything specifically for the movie (too X-menish I guess). great score Raf.

good point, Hasbro knows you could never get a good toy line out of an R rated movie... like: Robocop, Rambo, Toxic crusaders, Terminator 2, Predator, Alien, Star Ship Troopers, police Academy... Maybe we'll get a spinoff deadpool cartoon, then we'll get merchandise.

Man the 80s were crazy. Why wasn't there ever a Terminator or Predator cartoon? I would've watched the hell out of those.

It's funny, I use to watch the Toxic crusaders cartoon, my mom rented the Toxic Avengers movie on VHS, as soon as she put it in there was a topless lady riding a gentlemen in a locker room... she did not let me finish the movie. everything use to get cartoon and toy lines in the 80's.

Kenner (and some other lesser known companies) did make some great R-rated licenses into kids toys, as was the norm back in the day. Make a movie for adults and market it to kids, that's just how it was and there was less concern of what licenses got made into toys which were only for kids back then since no adult-collectibles companies really existed. Kenner was awesome like that, Hasbro less so. Hasbro has never made a product for an R-rated license and technically makes very little marketed to serious collectors. Hasbro's only "adult" collector things that I can think of are like the Transformers Masterpiece figures, kind of the Black Series for Star Wars (but those are still totally playable for kids too), and that limited release Cloverfield toy they made. Basically Hasbro is too kid-friendly and family-safe oriented to attach themselves to a movie that's rated R. Diamond Select though has no such feelings and I hope they do make a Deadpool movie figure.
