Actually, it was before then because I preordered him on Dec 1st at $25. Nevertheless, I do agree that the pricing of this line makes no sense to me with retailers. But then, there was one store here in CO that was selling the original Arkham Asylum Harley for $50 the day she came out while the other 3 in the wave were $20.
What I don't understand is that they couldn't just make the hair a separate piece, like Marvel Legends do for their girls?

So my TRU had the BvsS stuff today. I only looked at the BAF stuff but they had 3 Armored Batmans and 19 regular Batmans.

Haha...I know that they're for kids. I really don't get caught up in the entanglements of articulation and all that like some people do. These are items that are made for kids, and honestly, as an 80's child, most of my toys weren't much better when it comes to articulation and sculpt (as awesome as M.A.S.K. and Dino-Riders was, the figures only had 7 POA, as did our Star Wars toys, which is a travesty to many of this current generation of collectors!!!) Hell, half of my Friday the 13th figures have less articulation than that, and I collect those almost religiously!

I do wish they would have made the BvS kids line more like the Total Heroes figures though, which I know get a lot of shit here from the hardcore collectors, but I thought that most of them were pretty neat. I really dug the stylized look, and I thought the sculpts, articulation and accessories were perfect at the 9.99 price point they debuted at. Too bad Mattel had other ideas...

Every time someone says something like this I look at my budget and sigh. It's not that I can't afford them but they are so much more expensive per figure than anything that's not also imported. The closest I think I've come so far to ordering one was the Monsterarts Heisei Godzilla but then NECA announced their Heisei figure and I was like "so what if it's technically inferior, it still looks good and it's only $20!" The Monsterarts '79 Alien is a joke though, I guess it doesn't look like a terrible toy but between McFarlane and NECA there are much better 6-7" Aliens.

I cannot argue with Raf at all. SHF figures are amazing but quality definitely effects price where they are concerned. I still have a hard time justifying most of them. Like Sabah my budget (or lack there of but you get the idea) does not really allow many of them. The real trick with SHF is working to find them for good prices. Not always an easy task though. I just lucked out on some and will post up some pics when I get home from work tonight.

That's a shelf unit full of 'Nope!' to me, unfortunately, only because they'll be in my local bargain store next Christmas for a third of the price.

You guys are 100% correct. I was referring to the quality of the product. The prices are high for everyone and any budget. It is definitely the only downside (and probably the most important) to these figs IMO.

I'm personally hoping that some of that detail just didn't fit into Mattel's budget for the $10 figures and that the Multiverse version has some more added in for Aquaman. Hard to say that will be true, though, considering the $10 Batman has a grappling hook and the $20 one doesn't have anything for his obvious weapon hand. Arthur might just have to hope on MAFEX to get his due.

Didn't see Wonder Woman today, but saw a few Superman and a ton of the two Batmen figures for Multiverse. They're not bad figures, actually fun to mess around with, but definitely a shame they come with so little extras for $20.

Oh yeah, I knew what you meant and fully agree; the quality is amazing. The trick is justifying the quality to price ratio. If they all ran in the price range of the SHF Mario figures it would be a no-brainer for me. I think if they were all I collected I would be fine with it as well. Right now I get caught in the 2-3 Legends for the cost of one smaller SHF figure and cannot typically justify it. I say typically because I am sure I will drop cash on the Minato and Kakashi from Naruto later this year and barely bat an eye.

Decided to go to my TRU today to see if I could snag any of the new BvS figs that have been flooding this thread, and to my surprise, my store did have them. I thought that I would like them, but they look so bad. I just couldn't pull the trigger. I may pick them up when the movie hype gets to me, but they can stay on the pegs for now.

I did however luck out and find all four Mega Block Turtles. I passed on Bebop and Rocksteady for now (hopefully won't regret it).

These things are freakin cool, and I highly recommend them to any Turtles fan.

Here are a few Star Wars items that I picked up since my last visit:

Star Wars The Force Awakens Captain Phasma

Star Wars Elite Series Captain Phasma

Star Wars Elite Series Kylo Ren Unmasked

Force Awakens Captain Phasma was found at my local Wal-Mart while the Elite figures were located at a Disney Store near where some of my relatives live.

Picked this guy up just now. Mattel really needs to start upgrading their articulation to standards, or they'll soon find their sales plummeting due to being outdated. Ankle pivots are a must.

I really like this guy except for the headsculpt and the fact that his hands aren't sculpted to hold his gun.

Pretty sure I am now officially poor. Combined haul from Amazon, Ebay and Target over the last couple days. Thankfully a Christmas gift paid for the majority of the Figuarts Mario figures from Amazon and I snagged Luigi, Yoshi and the enemy pack on Ebay for less than retail. Walked into Target tonight for something else and decided to swing by the toy isle. We have never had the new 3 pack but tonight there were 16 of them at the $25 discount. My inner "I could use those for customs" voice went off and 4 came home with me. I kind of felt like Raf while walking up to the register. Could not resist the jab bro LOL!

They really are superb little minifigs.

I hit up the Calender store this week and left hurting in the wallet. I had to leave some stuff behind because I was not expecting to spend the money. Everything in the store was 50% off , yes even the Red Queen and the brand new Bruticus Combiner TF figures. They even had a ML Hope left over and I had been looking for a cheep head for a Goblin Queen custom I have been putting together.

Also grabbed a box of each on the new Batman V Superman cereals.
