Wouldn't surprise me, although it is a re-release of the Avengers Assemble cartoon one so it isn't Loki from the movies but the look is clearly inspired by them.

If you look closely, you can see that he is actually in theatrical cut of the movie. You can just about see the top of his head and shoulders behind Heimdall just after he grabs Thor. Makes it kinda awkward when I watch it again, knowing he's there and that he does nothing other than what happened in his deleted scene. It's like he forgets what he was going to say to Thor and walks off.

Got my AVP aliens in the mail today and they're really cool. As far as being toys goes they're kinda like the AVP predators in that as toys they're the best so far. They're a little bit bigger and more playable than the aliens that came before them. My Grid came out perfect and I got one of the ones with silver claws and talons (apparently this is a minor chase variant compared to the regular black-ish clawed version but I'm not 100% on that info) and much like how NECA made the predators slimmer than their on-screen counterparts I'm glad that they skipped total accuracy here and let Grid keep the blade-end of its tail. My Warrior came out great but not perfect, his left foot is slightly warped where the hinge is so the front toes with their pin are skewed and the pin doesn't plug into both ends. I don't know if this will be a serious issue with time since it is plugged in fine on the side that it does plug in to and it isn't easy to spot from a distance but it still causes some concern. Other than that though its back tube/pipe things were warped on the left side but I imagine they'll straighten with time since they are a softer plastic, and then its inner mouth was stuck in the back of its head so I had to get some tweezers to pull it out and even then it's very tight. But overall both figures are great and the black/silvery/copper wash on the Warrior makes a nice subtle contrast to the blue/black/silvery wash on Grid. The articulation is top-notch and for those wondering the shoulder joints are not limited by the shoulder ridges at all really and they can raise up pretty nicely as seen below. These aliens are a little taller than the Big Chap and Aliens warrior aliens but not quite as tall as the fully extended Dog Alien so they are pretty big still. It is a little weird though to get such good toys from such a not good movie. I'd recommend picking up at least the warrior if you're an Alien fan even if you hate AVP since it's such a well done toy and then if you can tolerate AVP or are one of the few who actually likes it then Grid is another worthy purchase.

The movie was forgettable, but I like both of these aliens. NECA seems to improve their technique with each wave. Thanks for the good description.

Yes the third figure in the set is the prototype suit alien. Initially when making the suit for the movie they made it to be this sort of translucent bone color but everyone agreed it didn't really work and they decided to stick with the colors Giger intended. I passed on getting that figure but I still think it was a pretty neat toy idea to have a concept look. It uses the same body as the current Big Chap and since I've already got series 2 Big Chap and the Kenner two pack alien I had little incentive to pick that one up.

I had a lot of free time this week, so I finally caught up on some overdue shopping/hunting.
Here's what I found during the course of 5 or 6 shopping excursions:

Finally got Grid and the Warrior in the mail the other day and I have to agree with En Sabah Nerd on these being some really great figures with some great articulation to boot.

I got a few more additions into my Star Wars collection:

Star Wars POTF95 R2D2 w/ Holographic Leia

Star Wars POTF95 Luke Skywalker Blast Shield Helmet

Star Wars The Force Awakens Han Solo

The POTF95 figures came from my LCS. Han was found at my local Target.

Visited 2nd&Charles while I was in town and scored the Batman Unlimited Dark Knight Returns figure for $30. The manager took 15% I guess because the box was a little banged up. (I think I might open it....)

Also, scored this 3 pack, Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer, Wal-Mart exclusive for $5.00!!! yes, five bucks!! Not sure about Dr. Doom and Mr.Fantastic, buut, Im totally keeping Silver Surfer, its my first 6" surfer figure!!
let me know what ya'll think!

I got it at Target for $35. I think it's a bit expensive for what your getting, but the steelbook is really nice.

Very nice. My 2 year old and 4 year old would be very jealous. I'd take a pic at what we're working with, but it looks like a bomb went off in a toy box over here. Ahhh!

I got him at Savers, Im pretty sure the glue residue on his helmet is from a Salvage sticker, but it looks and works like new, I was surprised no one wanted him
