Wanted to finally get around to posting this. Was visiting a good friend last weekend and swung by the local Hastings. Lo and behold we stumbled upon this amazing score, and yes the price you're seeing is correct. : )

Yeah, they had him sticker marked at 50 bucks but they were having a storewide extra 30 percent off clearance. The employee who pulled it out of the glass case assured us though that it wasn't clearanced, just marked down for sitting in store too long. But sure enough when we went to ring it up, it came to 25 bucks, then the extra auto coupon brought it down to 17.50

We did the happy dance right there in the middle of the store.

This Pop was a huge source of frustration, but I finally have him ! I had never even heard of BGV Toys, but they inexplicably received an exclusive 11th Doctor Pop, and immediately sold out. I'd been sporadically checking their website for a couple of weeks, hoping that they might miraculously restock, and to my surprise, they actually did ! ![]() ![]() Need to pick that one up myself

So I picked this up a while ago. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else or on the internet. Anyone have any idea on what it might be worth?

I figure it'd be pretty hard to speculate the value of such a packaging error until you see what the market has to say. If people attach no extra value to the mistake then it's still just a $20 figure, or someone could be stupid and pay $80 for it.

For some reason, BGV is listing that Pop, individually, as being sold out. However, you can still get him, along with a Pop Protector, for $30 :

It was about 40% at a department store chain here in Australia. Still expensive but I doubt I'd be able to get it any cheaper.

We did the happy dance right there in the middle of the store. I sometimes find deals w/ used or new toys at a 2nd & Charles when I travel! They have some used action figures for sale. I scored a ML Mystique, used for $5 recently. |

lol yea Hastings has had some pretty good deals recently on their used books! i asked why, and the girl told me they will be doing some remodeling soon and condense down the book section! which kinda scares me to be honest cuz best buy did the same thing with their cd's and dvds/blu-rays years ago!

It basically pointed out that while stores of Hastings' ilk were (and still are) closing left and right all over the US, Hastings was not only surviving the recession, they were thriving, and their success was attributed to their talent at quickly adapting to the wants and buying habits of their customers. For instance, CD sales plummeted, so Hastings began selling vinyl. Also, as book sales plummeted due to readers opting for digital books, Hastings brought in comics and increased their TPB and manga sections, since many of us comic fans still prefer tangible copies over digital. And so on ... I was thrilled when Hatings bought MovieStop a little over a years ago, and while I'd still prefer a full-sized Hastings near me, the tiny "mini-Hastings" that MovieStop has become is a great place to find action figures, especially NECA figures.

A few years ago, I found an amazing article about Hastings, published in a business journal sometime around 2009 (if I remember correctly).

With all of the excitement of Wrestlemania this week (although it was a TERRIBLE show...NXT Takeover was SOOO much better...) I found me a couple of wrestling goodies today...starting off with this Funko Pop and freshly inducted Hall of Famer, Wolfpac Sting!

![]() Topped it off by running into another Hall of Famer at Target, and a figure that I've literally waited to be done in the Elite format since Mattel took over the WWE license, one of my favorite heels of all time, The Million Dollar Man!

I just moved and I'm trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff that I didn't want. Trying to free up some room and what not... So I decided that I would take the 32 Transformers figures that I had on sale and took them to a local "Antique Toy Store" and decided to see what I could get for them...

I managed to get Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron and Cybertron Supreme Primus. I'm so happy I never thought I would get either one. Sorry I don't have pictures.. |
