My PD Destro was delivered today. This is one of those really fun repaints that pays homage to the old toys while also just being kind of appealing on its own merits. The leopard print pattern came out well, the accessories are nicely done, and even the box is a bit of a visual treat with the gold lettering and '80s-esque pop art.

Gamestop, I had it on pre-order with another site but then I was just browsing Gamestop's website to see if anything neat was on sale and it showed up under recommended product as in-stock so I got one and cancelled my pre-order. It actually came out to being a little cheaper too since for whatever reason Gamestop only wants $23 for it as opposed to the $25 every other store (including Pulse) lists it for.

Probably not for the same reason though. Joker burns money because it holds no value to him but he gets a kick out of knowing how much it means to other people, whereas if Destro burns his money it's because he's so rich that it doesn't even register as a loss to him. To Destro a thousand dollars is like pocket change (maybe even less) so burning it is a power statement, like "I'm so wealthy that this stack of hundreds going up in flames is trivial!" That being said, this would be a neat accessory to lend to a comic Joker figure.

I still don't understand why Hasbro's own store isn't among the first to get in their own stuff. You'd think that since they're the ones making these toys that then they'd be the first to have them ready to sell. I've never really liked CC all that much but I do like the regal variant a bit more than the standard release which looks muted in comparison.

It's not as bad as the pictures made it out, but still not great. I wish the heads could fit onto Marvel Legend bodies so that I could have a bunch of nobody background characters running about in my cases. I have all of these pointless heads that I can't do anything with.

A dremel is your friend here, especially if you have no plans on using those heads with the rangers...

The last time I tried to dremmel a head to fit on a peg better, it wouldn't fit at all. That's why I'm just going to let Sabertooth and a few others keep their too high on the neck heads as is.

However, I may still want to use those heads for the rangers for pictures and stuff, so I don't want to ruin them. Or if I end up deciding to sell some some day.
