Ultraman Max is here:
Which means that this is the end of Mill Creek's tenure for the franchise. It's amazing how much they released in only a few years. Nearly every series.

Never liked the Marvel Zombies, but now that I have them, they’re actually pretty cool

The SOTO turtles finally showed after ordering them on Black Friday, as a bonus Jenny and Hudson came today too. I haven’t gotten anything new yet this year and all these arrive in the same day.

Finally got around to picking up the black series Dark Trooper since it was finally discounted to below $25 on Amazon (my local Target went half off but unsurprisingly they were all gone by the time I was there). It's a good looking figure and mostly well assembled but the ankle hinges on mine are pretty loose and it doesn't take much for them to give so without support it's restricted to various upright poses. The torso armor being a separate, floaty piece took me off guard but that's just a comment not a complaint. All in all since I paid standard figure price I like it.

Man, seeing Trapjaw on clearance for $9 is just raw pain, for whatever reason, he seems to be the most scarce figure in the line over here in the U.K., I’ve been watching out for a price reduction since he was released, he is still going for around the equivalent of $50 here.

I just saw that Shredder at ROSS too! Been waiting for the Halo Mantis and Checkpoint to go on super deep clearance there, but they all seemed to have disappeared from the shelves before that happened. I also missed out on seeing the Legends Infinity War Cap at ROSS for $11... that hurt.

Got the Target Exclusive DC Multiverse Deadman today. Its a great figure. Todd gave him a standard Stand when he should have come with a flight stand since he his a ghost. Thankfully I had one from Dr Fate and gave it to Boston.
The Accessories kind suck. Last I checked Deadman doesn't have any powers besides possessing people unless he has a white lantern ring Last edited by ThorOdinson123; 01-18-2023 at 04:35 PM.. |

Got the Legacy Elita-1 for $12 on Amazon. It's not 100% G1 accurate but that is still the leading theme. She has a pretty great looking robot mode with a fantastic head and some nice colors with a couple of shades of pink and red for variety, she does wind up with a little backpack though. The instructions and official images show to unfold the car's front tire sections over her shoulders which evokes the G2 Optimus design but it's not what I want for Elita-1, thankfully there are options for those parts. Her transformation has some neat moments without being a hassle but also isn't overly simple, she's not just a shell-former so that's definitely nice. I really like her cute compact Cybertron/future-Earth car complete with the faux-top-of-her-head piece. My only gripes are that her weapons are just cast in an unpainted translucent blue and that sometimes I look at her feet and think "oh she's wearing cozy slippers." Still this is the first time classic Elita-1 has gotten a dedicated toy of her own and not just been a repaint of another character with minor new sculpting, although some of her design choices were made so they could turn around and make a Minerva from it.
