Yeah, I hate to say it, but it's hard to recommend unless you are a hardcore MASK fan. If it had the last 10 episodes, it would be more complete or if the transfer was superb, then I could look past the flaws of an 80's cartoon. But as presented, I wanted to like it, but couldn't.

I thought the packaging was supposed to say "The Original Series", not "The Complete Series". See my previous post from the first news thread about the DVD set:

The last 10 episodes were part of the second season and called "The Racing Series". The first season (65 episodes) is known as the "Original Series". Season 2 of M.A.S.K. had a radically different theme from the first season (and IMHO that's what killed the show).

Also, Shout! Factory did not acquire the rights to the second season (it's owned by Cookie Jar Entertainment).
It does suck to hear that the transfer isn't up to par with Transformers or other shows Shout! has done. Still, I will try to pick it up eventually.

Just for clarification, the DVD set clearly says on the front of the box "The Complete Series". It also states it on all advertising, the "spec sheet" I got with the set, as well as store listings. And while the second season was changed to reflect the new toys, it's still part of the series. So for them to market this as the "Complete Series" is very misleading and not at all correct.
