I wish I could collect these on a large scale Alas though (at least for the moment) it's not to be as TF's and other stuff alone prevent it. Though I do go after and own the Macross Plus stuff as I love that series and the mech designs to death.

Maybe I should just pinch all of CDN's stuff when I go home for Christmas :P

I have a small collection of various Roy Fokker/Skull Leader Macross toys.

Anyone know where I can find a Yamato 1/48 gun? The small tab on the gun where you hook the strap is broken on mine

Anyways, here is a pic of my Macross stuff:

I have a small smattering of Yamato offerings. Hoping to weigh in with a number of DX VF-25's when they come out, barring any sudden unexpected downturns in quality.

My most recent Yamato acquisition has been the v2 1/60 VF-1S, it is an awesome toy but one thing lessens the enjoyability of it; the shoulder hinge. I love looking at mine posed, it looks do dynamic and sleek, I had a hairline crack, didn't think much of it, but then I noticed that it was definitely more than just a line I could see, I could actually feel where the crack was eminating. Now I worry that it will break inevitably. It is such a great toy, that is why I am dissapointed with the shoulder hinges, because otherwise, it is awesome, and solidly constructed. Posing it in battroid mode is addicting.

Like this? Poll: Is your v.2 1/60 VF-1S broken or perfect? - Macross World Forums

I just realized you were posting in there, Shin, but nice pics in that link to show what you are referring to.

That sucks. I'm still contemplating a 1/60 VF-1S Roy Focker for my collection, dunno if I want to drop so much cash on one right now.

I'd wait until the inevitable reissue man. Roy's 1S is always rereleased. The shoulders on the 1J and 1D look like they may actually be made from a different material, I am awaiting responses on that to confirm, it might just be me being too optimistic. I honestly like the new 1/60 more than my 1/48, it's just those shoulders that dimmer my enthusiasm.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking (hoping) about a reissue/re-release myself. Hopefully a change will have been made to the compromised areas by then.

I like to do photo shoots for a lot of my toys, and the thought of his shoulder hinge cracking from posing it is not making me want it like I did before.

I'd really like to get my hands on a 1/60 Roy VF-1S one of these days, but it isn't something I have to have NOW.

Right now, all I have are some of the SD Morphers (Veritech and Alpha...love these little dudes!)

But I am doing some searching, looking for the right one to start with. I have heard so many horror stories of them being broken right out of the box and what not...I'm just being careful with what I buy....and with the help of fellow board member Eriku, with all his helpful advice, I'm sure I can find something.

I'm thinking about picking up one of those 1/100 Toynami sets....they're very affordable as I'm sure you all know, and will give me the perfect opportunity to see if I will actually "like" them to buy more.

They look great in robot mode and for the price, come with a ton of accessories. However they are fragile in some areas, specifically the sockets that the pegs plug into, such as at the bicep swivel, and shoulder/body hinge. Sometimes a breakage in the bicep swivel socket is not noticeable, but on my VF-1J Max type, it's gotten worse, so the upper arm falls out easily. The shoulder hinge is an area I didn't think would break, but it's already cracked, only tension holds the sides of it together now. This shocked me as the VF-1J wave(2) was known for being much tighter and more durable overall compared to wave 1. I remember when I first got these and likened them to 1/144 scale Gundam model kits, both in size and construction. They are similar but just think of these toys as more durable, though still fragile in certain areas.

The FAST packs make the toy look great, especially battroid mode.
