I knew DC had a hard on, I thought McFarlane would have more control over what figures they put out though, either way, whoever has the hard on for Batman needs to calm down and look elsewhere in the DC universe

So, this classic one is the same as the previous comic one but with a different shade of blue and without the peter head?

That is surprising, I thought at least they would have some say, they must roll their eyes when they get told to make another ten Batman variants

MacFarlane does have say. In an interview with Shartimus Prime, MacFarlane says that Batman always sells because every stray shopper potentially wants a Batman for their kid or for their collection.

I had no idea my No. 75 Spider-Man re-release just got cancelled until someone mentioned it in youtube. I now had to preorder both Scarlet Spider and No. 185 high saturated Spider-Man. Still kinda bummed that No. 75 got cancelled, tho. I like the paint job on that one a little more.

I mean they're the designers/manufacturers. I'm sure in instances of The Batman DC wants current movie toys on shelf, but for hitting stuff that's years old I have to imagine McF goes to DC with what they want to do too.

Was that the same interview when Todd said if a boy gets a female action figure that's how serial killers start or something?

Theres an interview with McFarlane's Tye Butler on youtube where he mentions that they do have to appease DC wanting Batmans and Supermans in every wave and I remember Scott Neitlich mentioning that same thing for DC Classics too.
Maybe mandates have loosened up a few years in with the license but still feels like that's the case.

Yes I think so, and it’s where all my respect for Todd disappeared.

There's a difference between having a Batman or Superman in a wave and 80% of a wave being Batman.

True, and at least dc classics used many obscure characters and actually made females that aren’t A-listers.

McFarlane still hasn’t given us a decent typical comic look Wonder Woman

McFarlane hasn't even bothered to do a proper comic Flash figure either. The ones he's done have been movie, animated, and video game related. And the one he did that he proclaimed was from the comics had the lightning ears elongated as if they were bat ears.

That Flash with the elongated lightning ears goes for scalper prices because it’s the closest to comic Flash they’ve done, also why is the only Hal Jordan Green Lantern been in a two pack? I don’t know who’s making the decisions over there, but some of the stuff they’ve released wouldn’t even be my 100th choice, let alone my 1st, but that’s just my opinion, I appreciate everyone has different tastes, but I’ve heard many people with the same gripe as me

Exactly, and if your going to release green lantern in a two pack it should be with star sapphire or any other character long time gl fans will appreciate.

And I agree about flash and him needing a redo, but where tf is classic Wonder Woman?

Pretty disappointing that they just did 2 more Spiderman figs. Was hoping to see a classic comic Cap & Doomsday. Hopefully next month.

I guess they had to fill their quota of Batman variants with that Hal Jordan 2 pack

One of my first figures was ARAH Baroness.

...I don't think I've killed anyone.

Been wanting the Spidey 075 for a while, but prices are just to high for him, glad to see this as an alternative.

PS. I did try to buy a Spidey 075, but when it arrived, and after inspecting it, it turned out to be a fake, and I got a refund from the retail. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

I dont like how on these mafex classic spiderman figures that the red waistband part of his custume disappears under the blue pelvic piece in just about every pose you put him in. Even when he is just standing straight up you can see in the back it dips under the pelvis section. It would have been quite easy to fix this if they had just painted the red band a little lower by putting on the pelvis and the costume design would not look compromised by the pose.
