I want this but im worried, Mafex joints are still terrible.
just seen plenty people's iron spider arms snapping and with bad paint jobs

I own about 10 Mafex figures and haven't had a single thing break. Granted I'm pretty careful with my stuff, but I switch out hands and heads etc. as well as pose them, and I've had no problems.

Having said that, Iron Spider isn't one of the 10 or so I own, so maybe it's figure specific.

the cape is little thick, but that is one of the easiest things to fix.

I know Mafex will only make so many Comic Style DC figures, but these are the ones I'd most like to see them do:

Nightwing
Red Hood
Batgirl
Superman
Flash
Green Lantern (Jon Stewart)
Wonder Woman
Deathstroke
Poison Ivy
Harley Quinn (classic red and black costume)

I pre-ordered mine from HLJ, and like warmachine I'm hyped for April.

Also really looking forward to seeing what comes next for the Comic-style figures from Mafex. Not to mention the new Joker movie coming out, I'll bet they do a Joaquin Phoenix Joker.

Why not just preorder at HLJ? You pay nothing until it is released.

Waiting for Mafex figures is only going to cost you. They all sell out on preorder, typically months before release.

It looks great, I'm willing to pay the price, but constantly reading the horror stories about their QC make me consider getting this.

I also heard they improved lately, but man – without having one to judge it myself I don’t really know what I should think.

How does this figure scale compared to a Marvel Legends figure? Is it shorter? I've never handled a Mafex figure and have heard that some of the Japanese figures scale a little bit smaller.

1st an awesome Michael Jordan figure & now this! Mafex has really stepped up their game. This is another impressive offering. With the comic Spidey, Wolverine ,Cyclops, Jordan & now this Mafex is staking a serious claim in the 1/12 scale market. I'm very interested in seeing what other figures they will be coming out with in the future.

Mafex figures tend to scale very nicely with Marvel Legends. The SH Figuarts on the other hand scale smaller and are very delicate in my experience.

I think it would be awesome if mafex did all the characters featured in HUSH ,then expand in Justice League, Teen Titans , Redhood and the outlaws. Though hopefully they stick to one artist.

I know their figures are pricey but my god they could kill Mattel with that DC license.(oh wait the children need something to play with...)

DC should hire Medicom to do more, also i think DC Collectables wanted to make figures with like a Japanese import style figure, well here you go DC

You're right about SHF being smaller but I wouldn't ever describe them as being delicate. Obviously they're not made to be manhandled and thrown around but I have a bunch of them and handle them quite a bit (they're really fun to mess around with and pose) and never had anything break on me or felt like it was about to break.
Mafex on the other hand...definitely delicate and slightly brittle. Also I had issues with floppy joints.
