It's never bothered me, even as a kid. 1990's TMNT heavily modified the story, the 90's Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons butchered the comics and the characters, but those were tons of fun. Hell, the MCU heavily changes everything about the characters, but it's been mostly enjoyable too. A page-for-page translation of Infinity War would be boring. I like seeing new interpretations of stories. As I said, I never read Hush, or most of the influencing stories in the DC Animated (did read Batman v Superman once), but overall, I think they are fairly solid entertainment. I think Bane gets put into everything now because he's a popular villain. Batman's had very few noteworthy additions to his rogues gallery since the golden age.

I wasnt a fan of the HUSH movie , too many characters got changed for the sake of it just to keep up with the latest comics which are passed ones i.e batgirl... Since the killing Joke seems their DC movies went down hill. Wonder Woman bloodlines was different but good different. The thing is they dont need to change the storylines or characters in already established good comics.

Superman will be a must have for me. Though I do hope they have multiple heads with one that isn't such a bummer.

I thought it worked alright with Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen but yeah I'd rather have normal adaptations like Dark Knight Returns.

My complaint isn't solely that they inserted Bane, it's that he was portrayed as a dullard strictly interested in money for drugs. Overall I'm fine with different media tweaking elements compared to their source material but some of the recent DC animated movies have really rubbed me the wrong way because they're named after a specific comic story but they heavily omit key points. I think an easy example is the Judas Contract, the comic explored Deathstroke's origin in detail and his motivations got pretty personal while in the movie all he's really avenging is his pride and he's just kind of there as a cardboard villain. I feel like if they ever do the Long Halloween (but not a literal adaptation like TDKR) it wouldn't be entirely surprising if they just kicked Two-Face out of the story because his presence wouldn't fit with their running continuity.

I'm probably being too grouchy, at the end of the day it's still entertainment.

I never really thought the comic was convoluted. It was an intricate plot to be sure but, once the central antagonist reveals his plan and THEN said plan is really part of a bigger agenda to get revenge on Bats it made sense to me. Even reading when released the story seemed to be an instant classic. Any revision to the story is needless. Change one major ingredient and the entire dish falls apart.

I also get sick of Bane being portrayed as dim witteed roided out door kicker. He figured out that Batman was Bruce for God's sake. He was originally supposed to be one of DC's greatest criminal masterminds.

I don't think Bane will ever be as good as his first appearance in Knightfall. Arkham Origins came close but then they kinda ruined it because he had to line up with his appearance in Asylum.

No matter the story it seems like he'll always end up in brute/henchman territory.

Okay, I need to pick up Venom now, because Carnage is too good and I want both.

Although the hammer-accessory throws me of a bit - considering how on point the other accessories are (the web-slinging tentacle effects are amazing) it has to have appeared in the comics somewhere, but I can’t remember seeing it. Maybe it came later; I'm only familiar with Carnage's first appearances.

This Carnage is based on the ASM #161-3 Carnage story line with art by Mark Bagley.

And, although there are examples of Carnage's facial profile in these issues being drawn/inked in a variety of styles, there are a few panels that match the way his mouth will look on the figure, with the pink visible from the side:

That HUSH Supes looks oh so tempting. My only worry is, will he scale well with ML figs as I would at least hope he's the same hgt as 80th anniv Cap/Ironman. Smaller than that, no sale.

The comic versions seem to be the same size as ML's after looking at reviews. I don't own a comic character from mafex; Though my nolan trilogy batman v.3.0 seems to scale well with them despite being a few centimeters short. Im also sure that ML's aren't 100% 6inch

Legends tend to lean closer to 6.5" than true 6". It's pretty easily seen when compared to Hasbro's black series which are more of a true 6" scale and Legends are larger. I don't own any Mafex figures so I can't weigh in on whether or not they scale well.

Edit: I just looked up pics for the Mafex Venom and he's only about as tall as the Legends pizza Spidey so that's not a great sign for compatibility. It's possible these DC ones won't be the exact same size.

I have the Mafex Deadpool and he's just a smidge shorter than the ML X-Force Deadpool.

I can confirm this to be true. The Mafex Venom is taller by only the slightest of measures over the Pizza Spidey body mold...which doesn't bother me so much, but I know will drive others bananas as some folks prefer their Venom to be Hulk sized.

The Mafex Venom does scale okay with some Legends bodies, but your mileage there is going to vary depending on the body mold. MAFEX Venom does scale really well with many of the Toybiz Spiderman figures though...which is something I feel I should mention. Many of those figures still hold up to this day thanks to their excellent, stylized sculpts and insane poseability.

MAFEX's scale is wildly inconsistent throughout the lines, and is the biggest reason I won't take the plunge full scale. The new Wolverine for example sizes up perfect for Legends, but Venom is a much taller character yet doesn't scale up appropriately to Hasbro's line.

In addition, I've noticed that many of the figures from Mafex based off of actors in film as opposed to comics (John Wick, Robocop, and the two Boba Fetts come to mind) DO scale well with the vast majority of Legends and Black Series figures...especially the MCU oriented stuff, which tend to be smaller than their comic counterparts.
