I didn't want to swap parts with another figure since this Venom was textured thoughout his sculpt. Plus I always try to stick to the same plastic colors when doing major parts like this and the only MU legs that would fit was Sabretooth's at this time (this is a 2 year old mod) Even the knee caps are Venom's original knee caps. It isn't perfect, but it is completely playable. |

I cut his legs with a exacto knife then I dremeled the knee areas to make fittings for the double hinge. I used knee hinges from a spare fodder parts, I believe they were Gambits, and heat 'n popped accordingly. I almost felt like the doctor in The Human Centipede cutting the knees.

I do have quite a bit of 3 3/4 inchers in general, but that is a whole other thread I'm sure. I will say, Hasbro has picked up alot since the start of MU. I just wish they would utilize better articulated bodies more often like they have on the Jim Lee Cyclops figure. I just got him and it's awsome. This will also tell you how behind I am. |

Movie figures aren't for everybody, certainly not for me, unless they're "comic series" versions. I loved that Iron Man and Cap had a comic series but still disappointed Thor didn't.
Right now, this thread is salivating for new MU. When July comes and a few on this board start getting their new hauls, this thread gonna go nuts! Then the Masters of Evil 3 pack... BOOM! |

Hi, I am a noob to this thread. I thought I would share my Appreciation for Venom. I also customized him a little... sorry if this is the wrong thread for that. I love this figure because he resembles McFarlane's artwork, and I was never fond of the Venom illustations that were sloppy looking and had Hulk like perportions.
*snip* [Dude i'd love to get a Skrull offa ya!! Am i ok to drop you a PM???

JL Cyke was the groundbreaking figure that changed the game. I recall going nuts for that fig when the wave dropped. He gets overlooked now but that fig is outstanding. ToyArk will surely help you catch up. I'm on my 2nd Marvel 3.75" collection - sold my 1st for wedding - and my collection today blows my old one out of the water ... all thanks to Arkers. |

Trust me, my MU collection isn't that big. I collect tons of other things to so I try to balance it all out thoughout the year. I guess it works out for me since I am currently experiencing a drought with WWE figs right now. So I can turn my attention to MU, and then TFs when the MU drought hits again.

BTW. Why is it that finally, after all these years, I can get a Spider-man, and Ben Reilly that have matching body sculpts and Hasbro had to go ahead an simplify the artuculation? Not fair I tell you, not fair. Since they have resorted to painting and not sculpting the web details on Spidey's MU figs, they should just make a multipack that has his different costumes on the same body. I would be all over that. |

I completely forgot about the Showdown figs. Too late now... no regrets. I should have remembered since I never bought an MU Spidey since I thought my Showdown version superior. You would have thought I had that as a reminder to look into SD parts.

Modular Armor Iron Man is what pioneered the more articulated molds we're enjoying today. Cyc made it sexy though.
