Love the hulks ash. Very nice.
Here's my little bit of appreciation

And someone PLEASE appreciate this one because it took forever to do. So tedious.

It may take a week, or a few weeks, but as long as you're watching it, you know where the new case is going to hit next.

Easier said than done, I know. Walmarts are notorious for not giving your money back right away, and the cost of 'floating' 5 figures for up to a week isn't all that small of an investment either. Then, there's always the possibility that you can't check the store due to restock in time to catch the new restock, and someone else swoops in on your hard work.

I can't say it always pays off, but it does often enough to keep trying...
Nice trick there. For me its difficult to hover over a store when I'm constantly traveling on the weekends. When my schedule calms down I may have to do this. I do really appreciate the tip though and I will put it to good use in the future.

Nice concept. You should pick up the DoA girl figures. They are the same scale as MU.

Yup. For some reason, Wallmart is the haven for strange people. Where do they all come from?

Nice shot. Love the lighting. I would suggest using those clear rubber bands on the end and move up the board so that the tail end is twisted at the end of the ice slide. If you notice, there is a little pocket at the end of the ice slide where the board's tail can sit a little more flush.

Sweet pic there. My fav is the Hulk taking down a sentinel on the roof and Hawkeye hanging around. Great display there.

Found the 6 in the back at a lcs for $3/each.
OMG, those are freakin sweet. What toyline are those from? You should throw in Red Hulk in there. I was working on a display like that but those icemen clones you got are bitchin.

Nice photowork there. I like the crossover you got going on with BP and DD against Cobra.
Also, the colors look very vibrant in that last shot. Very cool and all really great figures too!

ugh, also the walmart closest to me now is soooo HUGE the local scabs use the customer service line as a Pawn Shop...

Not to mention there is NEVER anything worth my time toy-wise in there...
LOL! I so agree

One time i was at a Walmart wanting to buy a 6" war machine iron man figure, this was right at the time they were being scalped to death. Anyway finding good paint on it was hard but i went to this store that said they had 6, so i get there and i find 3 only 1 with decent paint but being OCD i wanted to see if the other 3 were in the back , so i ask this guy to check (but goes the opposite direction of the stock room). I make the mistake of letting him take the one i had with him. After like 30 mins he shows up and says no there is none and he hands it back to me. I took a look at it and it was a different one. I know because there was a very tiny dot i had made on the upc with a pen so i could tell them apart. The one handed back did not have that dot and had paint flaws that were not on my original one.

So basically he swapped out his for mine. So i'm walking past the sports desk and he is chatting with some guy and his other workmate looks at me like he knew what had just happened and was disgusted with that guy. Suffice to say i was pissed but i eventually found boatloads of them and able to pick one i liked.

i agree. I would not trust these preorders from ebay. I'd just wait till the con is over. There will be boatloads and as long as we don't give in to their ridiculous pricing, i think we can all walk away with a fair price. I love how they like to employ psychological warfare during the con with their listings making you feel like the world has ended and without their elixir you will die. I made that mistake with a couple of items last year and i was certain would never see a fair price but i was painfully and swiftly educated.

The rest i smartened up and walked away with a smile. It is amazing how much "logical" justifying you do during this period. The conversations i had with myself. There is so much fervor and hype around comic con that you can't help being swept up in it. So my advice my new friends is sit back, relax and go for it after SDSC 2012 (San Diego Scalper Con). Okay bad joke, i know.

Newbie question. I've just got an Iron Patriot figure with the extra neck joint so he can look up. Do any figures of Iron Man have that? Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks.. I'm getting there. I needed a board/ice sled and after weeks of trying to find a cheap XMO Iceman, or just the board, I ended up buying this Iceman for $8 shipped just for the damn board.

Good call, Symbiote. I see what you're talking about. I'm going to do that.. I need to shave those board pegs a bit too.. they're too large for MU feet.

The Extremis Iron Man and the Bleeding Edge Iron Man (the best IM imo).

AWESOME!

I'm going to try cosplaying as the First Class Iceman for SDCC this year. Easily my favorite character.

Thats what i'm trying to figure out. I may actually buy the damn thing for that much. I just know it wont get more plentiful, and will probably cost more in a few months like all the others.

I wanted to get one MOC and get a loose zemo, but I may open this. Not really wanting tigershark or radioactive man though

Hell yes, it's too high. I don't know if we'll see any variation of this set at retail or not but I think I'm topping out at $60. You pay what you think is right, shortys, but I would urge aggressive patience on this.

However, if I freak out and buy it at $90, I'll let you know.

Considering that rarer figures like Vision goes for 100 on evilbay by himself, 60 for 3 figures isn't as bad...

Cheers. I'll check it out. In the spirit of the thread I'll chuck these couple of pics up of Iron Patriot and a brief glimpse of my Wade (Deadpool) Wolverine Origins style.
