Or just buy clear Gesso and mix in black acryllic paint- dries as a plastic and always looks "wet".
Should have thought of that sooner- use that instead of the glue! Great for addig black slimy streamers to carnage too- just drizzle the colored Gesso onto a sheet of wax paper or foil to dry. Gesso is like a buck for a BIG container. |

You can get plast-i-dip, a liquid powdercoat type system for around $8 and using simple wiring u just dip it in the color of your choice, they look better IM0, below is the link from Jin Saotome's site, haven;t tried it myself, but I have worked with the poduct on power tools before and it works great but it will ruin clothes and stinks like all hell, so well aired out spot is best.

I did hear about Carnage USA- sounds great but it's typical Marvel to announce a title that spoils the outcome of a still-running storyline. They did the same with Bucky's death- showing Steve as Cap in the July solits. Still- I always hated Carnage as a charcter prior to this amazing miniseries- then I had to find his figure! |

NEW PICS!
I splurged and bought a camera that's actually pretty good and snapped a few pics for ya: First up, a work in progres of Baron Strucker- ![]() Next is the HYDRA robots I converted (still not pics of the flying one yet- too big to take to work and photograph) ![]() The HYDRA gang of badasses (except I forgot to bring Viper to the shoot! D'Oh!) ![]() ![]() The HYDRA soldiers all have new and modified weapons, some hgh tech stuff like a teleport bracelet and all have a light black wash to bring out the detail in their very nice sculpt. Next up is my modified Odin from the Thor movie- washed in black enamel, then highlighted in Testor's Gold enamel. The helmet and spear are made from that minimates toy and modified and repainted. ![]() ![]() ![]() And finally, this is how Odin in the Destroyer Armor once showed his son humility: ![]() Your opinions, as always, are welcomed! |

Its about time Jason! I love that Hydra shot, great paint job and those minor customizations make a huge difference.

Runs $55 and it totally worthwhile! All I need now is Sif...I bet sh's tough to find single carded in the wild though! The pics dont show it real well but some HYDRA guys are sporting laser weapons, one with a hose attached to a power box on his belt. One guy has a teleport thing around his forearm, etc. I'll take some pics with Viper and Silver Samuari leading the squad. I'll also take pics of my SHIELD badass team (with Union Jack and Black Widow). Lots of mods on the SHIELD team- extra weapons, hand swaps and they all sport unique heads from GI Joe or Star Wars. And did I mention I'm making a Spitfire to complete my Invaders team? Hey, notice there are no bases? I use this putty stuff called Quake Hold (Amazon carries it). Works fantastic and peels right off the fig's foot. Figs look much better together without bases distracting from their awesomeness. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 06-18-2011 at 09:32 PM.. |

Wait till I add in Viper and Baron Strucker- and a few Hydra soldiers from the Cap movie line...
and the three additional HYDRA drones made from IM2 Hammerdrone heads on armored up T3 Endoskeleton bodies. With jet packs. My SHIELD shoot should be as good if not better- I made the same sorta logo over marble print for them to stand around on, looking badass. hmmm...I think I'll go make up a metal floor looking mat for generic phtoshoots. I just got The Iron Age Alpha and now I have to build a Doctor Doom's Time Platform! In a nutshell, the comic's story almost a RPG mod for MU collectors- a crazy villian Iron Man once stomped is dying of cancer, managed to build a time platform, kidnapped Tony and used the platform to bring Dark Phionex to the present, shot her a bunch of times so she'd be really pissy and she destroyed all life on Earth, but not before Tony got away via the platform. Now Tony has to travel the past collecting an odd group of heroes from different times to stop Phionex- Cyclops circa X-Men #178 Captain Britan in his drinking days, Luke Cage back in the Power Man & Iron Fist days and the Human Torch from Byrne's run (which is sad 'cause Johnny got gacked a few months back). Really looking to be an awesome miniseries- and all the characters have a freakin' MU figure! |

When Marvel Legends started in the early 2000's I considered collecting them, but in the end concluded that they would take up too much space. 3.75" figures are so much more collectable!
I managed to get a load of cheap XMO:Wolverine figures the other day; I've wanted to get a tan and brown costume Wolvie for a while but didn't like the straining look that the regular (XMO) version had, so bought an extra tigerstripe figure and painted the head: ![]() I've also been thinking about getting movie version of characters as well as unmasked versions so have combined the two. This is my fledgling collection: ![]() I've also Brocked up my SS Venom: ![]()

Nice custom Venom! The Wolvie looks good but Deadpool looks pretty silly with that head. Cool action poses Optimus!

Venom rocks on the polka dot field of battle and that Iron Fist psyches me- I've got one coming in the post!
Anyone know if the upcoming Iron Fist from the comic pack is the same mold or a new sculpt? I am thinking of sacrificing my MU Namor as a new IF body- in the new white and gold outfit- that body is ripped! Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 06-19-2011 at 04:41 PM.. |

Thanks! I cant take credit for the head and arm sculpt though- Slayer Design Studios offers those as a set for $7.00!
SO woth it! The body is a modified AIM soldier and I'm adding a brocade and Hydra emblem to his chest -after I finish panting him that is- I'm happy with how his scars are turning out- pink, but not over the top. Tomorrow my base head for a custom Nick Fury arrives! Can. Not. Wait. I'm useing some Russian commander from the GI Joe comic pack line as the base for Fury- then the Sam Jackson Fury body (with hand swaps, obviously) and adding a SHIELD patch to the arm. |

Red Star? I like his head sculpt for Fury. Waiting on my Shield Agent STILL due to Canada postal woes. Don't want to use Red Stars head if I dont have to though. Like him way to much!
