Same same...you waiting on BBTS too? I thinking of making a Quasar from that old namor- right body build, already has the bracelets...just gotta remember to keep his ankle wings for a Namora custom

Yeah, I prefer the "pants" version too and not the "scalemail undies".
I may sand down the undies and repaint as well...I really doubt that old vest will fit the new figure though- the new chest will be too big. I was thinkning of taking the head from the female from Pirates of the Carribbean, sticking Namor wings on the sides (with a headband), sticking that onto a kItty Pryde body and having an easy made Dani Moonstar from New Mutants. |

Well, it looks like some **** went down since I posted pics of my MU display earlier.
Although at first it seemed that Odin was winning in his fight against Violator, apparently the vile creature gained the upper hand. Violator killed the Allfather and dragged his corpse into the alley behind Ace Garage. It's official, folks: Toy Story was based on true events! Me thinks Thor is gonna be pissed... |

I seen them at my local Walmart last week, picked up the xforce, but some paint issues on wolverine and warpath, deadpool is mint, his blade holders on the back are kinda warped well 1 is, it has a slight bend and I don't want to straight it 2 much in fear or snapping it. The Avenger's set was nice but paint apps were shit, especially on Thor the skin tone look fucked up. I hid 1 just incase lol.. The Fantastic 4 set has nice paint apps , they had a bunch of them so will hold out for another paycheck or 2.

So after looking at all the new stuff coming out...I came to a conclusion....After getting newer figs, like Falcon,Darkhawk...I realized that all the figs with wings have the standard leg articulation....Angel,and Nighthawk that's coming out next year suffers from that also...So are we getting less articulation because they have to pay more for the wings.....Or are they thinking the fig will be more stable when its standing....IMO I think a little of both......Thoughts???

I'd say it boils down to cutting and saving costs and stability. If you reuse molds you save $$ but sculpting wings, new headsuclpt and a miniture falcon costs $$ so reuse the buck or atleast parts to cut down on overall production costs. It's not the best strategy, but it works for Hasbro. To me if you can make things better do so, and if it means rising costs do it. The true collectors will pay the extra $1 for better QC. |

you know? that'd actually work pretty well. as for the namor vest, i think it fits fine on the newer body.

That damn thing is so tight on my Namor that I considered useing an X-Acto to seperate it along the belt buckle. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 09-16-2011 at 01:13 AM.. |
