Naw, probably next year. There are still other cons [I think] for them to show off new figures this year. If they do make one though I do hope it is the Flash Thompson one though.

Is SS Venom the one with his tongue out? I recently picked that one up and he has no knee articulation. No excuse for that.
Stretch Strike Venom looks like the Mac Gargan version of the character. I think it's pretty hard to find at this point. Personally I just settled for the ASM movie release of Venom. He has a t-crotch, but has knee joints. If he had ball-joints at the thighs he would be really good. I'm satisfied though, didn't want to go hunting too much.

Yeah, I'm a little irritated that Hasbro didn't give us many reveals at SDCC but they gave us 2 Spidey villains. I think that fills their quota for one year, lol.

I might give that one a try. I bought the Doc Ock from that line but I'm not sure that I like him.

Coincidence, not irony.

Also, just picked up this Red Faction:Armegeddon Darius Mason action figure on clearance at Target for $5. I'm thinking it'll be a good Ares base.

He's got a pretty good buck to start a lot of different characters. Nice blend of GI Joe and MU style articulation, but no double-knees.

I think my one major modification would be giving him bulkier arms from something like an absorbing man, and maybe replacing the lower legs with something like a Thor or Cable, as the lower legs are a tad short and don't have the knees as mentioned above.
