Alright arkers. Its been a long week but it was great to finally meet some arkers this past weekend (Peter Parker, Trainwreck, Iceman, Martian410, and Solidwii). Glad that Greenskar and I were able to hang out with these guys.

I think I've caught up on whats happened since I've last been on. I was a bit let down by the lack of MU announcements but it does seem that there is more in favor for Marvel Legends stuff. I do agree that they would be hesitant to announce anything more until they've caught up with their previous announcements. The distribution question was finally asked by someone. They realized that the distribution of Wave 17 combined with the movie lines was too much and that the retailers ordered too much. There are still other characters they've announced at NYCC but did not see them at SDCC. I think they want to make sure they don't do another ML Stryfe scenario. I guess that's encouraging if they are still figuring out how they are going to do those molds.

A few pages back I posted pics of the SDCC Helicarrier. Its starting to grow on me. Well I finally had time to take some close up pics and do a review of it, narrated by Deadpool. (Caution, picture heavy post)

you know what troubles me? People have had it for 5 days now, and we STILL dont have any comparison shots of the DCD GL 2pack and MU figures. I want to see these things together. STill havent heard from my guy yet on it.

bro check the threads dedicated to it I'm sure I saw one with the scarlet spider and it is still a little off. they look good but the scale is still wrong. i'll try to find a link/quote for you

Got the dc direct two pack today and man these little.guys aee badass! Alot more solid than any.marvel universe figure ive messed with. They feel dense and good. Only qc on mine is a stuck thigh swivel on kilowog and a loose hip joint on kyle. Kyles is easy to fix.

Also their articulation is stellar!

Points are:
Head- balljoint
Shoulder-universal hinge
Bicep-swivel
Elbow-single hinge
Forearm-swivel
Torso-balljoit
Ab crunch
Hips-balljoint
Thigh-swivel
Knees-double hinge
Shin-swivel
Feet-hinge

My favorite point is the thigh swivel which is brilliantly hidden with sculpting on the upper legs. Honsetly didnt.expect this.joint till I twisted Wogs leg. So badass a set and well worth the pickup.

So heres some pic of the set!

Heres everything you get

Kyle shots

Kilowog shots

Size comparisons:

Star wars VC

Marvel Universe

They scale much better to Star wars toys than marvel ones which is a bit of shame.

Fun pics

Overall still really good figures! The scale with Marvel might detract some, but not this guy! Also after having Scarlet Spidey in the shoot and messing with both. The GL figs just feel more solid where as spidey just feels like he made of rubber. The quality is vastly different.

Nice SHIELD shot ^^

The scale on those DC figs with MU is a little disappointing, but I'll still buy them if they become a comic/specialty store regular.

Nice review, Symbiote. The Helicarrier looks great. I like the SDCC version so much more than the regular,.. the colors alone make all the difference.

Yeah it is kinda cool lookin, and a great effort on their part, but you gotta use hero clix figures in order to make the scale correct.

Plus, if you were even able to get it at the con price, that's like 13 single card figures you could get instead

Thanks. The next scene dio I want to re-create is magneto doing the magnetic fastball special with colossus juggernaut into the helicarrier. After that, I'm going to try to hang that sucker up. It takes up too much room on my display shelf.

It's not perfect, but still pretty cool. I have enough giant sized toys though, so this is a pass for me just because of space.

Got it. Thanks.
That thing looks pretty heavy, man. You might need chains to hang that beast!
