Not MU related, but something I've always wondered...and since we have a lot of left coasters and folks from the lower lower 48, I may as well ask: I know Mexican folk generally frown on Taco Bell...how do they feel about Chipotle?

Do they count as "authentic" burritos? or are they like American Cheese, which isn't even really a cheese, just a cheese product?

Lmao.

@ uberlad ... I'm not Mexican, but I am Latino and grew up w Chicanos and have many friends and family members married to Mexican peeps, etc ... so I can say this w steadfast certainty...

Chipotle is not authentic Mexican cuisine, though it does sell Mexican food. It's like a healthier, glorified Taco Bell aimed at the mobs who love burritos n stuff. The hole in the wall joints are almost always authentic. And lastly, anything a Mexican woman cooks in her kitchen is authentic.

So yeah, toys.

I don't they have Chipotle up here in Washington, or at least in my area. I've only been to one once, when I was in Ohio. I don't even remember the food at all, to be honest. I like Taco Bell, but then again I'm a pasty northerner; I've got mostly English in my blood and as far as I know zero Hispanic.

However, I did have what my uncle (who had been to Mexico like 100 times) called "real" tacos from a roach coach, and I particularly didn't care for them at all :/ They had a lot of gristle and large white squishy fat deposits. I certainly hope that's not "real" tacos.

it's still honky food. My wife is from sonora, totally changed my culinary taste for mexican cuisine. I'm extremely elitist about paying money for any food item that my wife or I can make better ourselves.

Ok. All packed up, head shaved, showered... ready to go and I have 26 minutes to spare. What better way to help time fly than posting again before I go.

@ Scythe - I wish I had time to shop for ML in TJ, but I can't for 2 reasons:
#1 - I don't know where to go.
#2 - I'm driving there tonight, going to sleep once I get there, and then I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. I guess it's cheaper to get married in TJ, but it wasn't cheaper for me to go to the damn wedding because I had to get my passport & spend a crapload of money on gas during a time when gas prices are going up. On Saturday, the wedding is in the afternoon, followed by a reception with an ALL NIGHT OPEN BAR. Needless to say, I'm gonna get F*cked Up! Leaving Sunday morning to head back home. I don't see a big enough window to go shopping for MLs, but then again, I have everything that was released in Wave 3 so far... So, there's nothing I really need at this time except maybe some more difficult to find figs.

@ Everyone else talking about Tacos: Come to L.A. and hit up a Taco Truck or Taco Stand - then you'll have some real Mexican food. Every fast food restaurant that claims to sell Mexican food pales in comparison to some Al Pastor Tacos made by real Mexican women in the Mexican capital of the U.S.... Los Angeles. LOL. I like Chipotle and all, but that's just Americanized wanna-be stuff. It's good, but not authentic. Taco Bell is OK, but they use grade D meat. Yes, GRADE D meat. Go look it up.

I can't wait until all my goodies come in next week. I've got stuff being sent to me from multiple Arkers and I'm super excited about it. Plus the rest of my Pre-Order of ML figs are coming in. Next week is going to be good.

On a final note: I still have 2 6" Walmart Avengers Hawkeye figs that will get returned next week if no one wants them. I also have 3.75" Hawkeye (movie version) and a Black Widow. There's some other stuff in my BST, so please check it out.

Hasta Domingo, Compadres!

traslation for all you Gueros out there - Until Sunday, Buddies! (or Friends).

Speaking of food and toys, I like chipotle well enough... I have been in some bad mexican restaurants (not my idea of authetic)...

and as far as toys are concerned I am thinking about making a MU current outfit hawkeye...which will mean I will have to try my hand at sculpting (which is kinda exciting), so it might come out okay, or AWFUL...either way I will have to get some green stuff...
