I think the articulation and detail for their size is amazing, only problem i'm having is finding a Hulk i like to fit with the others, i've got the wave 2 2009 Green Hulk coming but the look is slightly off imo, i also have an eye on the new 2012 Hulk but fear it may be too small for my tastes. I'll wait and see how the wave 2 Hulk scales for now but i may end up going to the 6 inch scale for my Hulk.
Wish the shoulders were broader, and it looks like no ankle articulation. I do suppose between all the 3 3/4 Hulks out and coming out I'll be able to cobble up a perfect version! |

I figured since Lord Marvel had an Awesome whiplash custom i would share mine. I used an air drone for the lower torso and waist the upper torso and arms came from the weapons drone. Lemme say crack and seperate torsos for these was no easy feat. This mod is somewhere near the PITA realm.
Still needs some paint work...and a proper helmet. [IMG] ![]()

Hey Evil, that's where I was this past weekend, picked up those 2 figs from a decent price seller though. But yes i saw other scalping seller's it was crazy on how much they were charging for some of the MU figures, and that's not even including sales tax.

Ok, so I understand that the variants are more difficult to find, and that scalpers are out there. But seriously WTF?? I have never seen a variant at retail, NEVER! I was hoping that at least with this most recent wave i'd get to seen a Metal absorbing variant at retail but still nothing?? Are scalpers just that good? Or is distribution just that bad?? I meant where are all these variant's ending up? Why is it that I have to eventually pay double or more what they retail for to own one? I kinda think it sucks. I mean I hit multiple stores 2 to 3 times a week and I have yet to see any kind of variant in the wild. It really is frustrating.

Oh ya do not get me wrong there are some good sellers at Frank&Sons, and they are actually collectors and can talk to you about what you are buying. As for the local scalp shop they do not collect they only buy you go into the store and they ask you not to touch anything or you will have to pay for it.

Back to the LCS scalpers...the two that I go to [Curious Comics in Victoria, and Nanaimo] get all their stuff from the states, easy give away is the american packaging. So if they get it PROBABLY from BBTS and shipping to Canada plus conversion rate, they have no choice but to charge 13-99-14.99. So after all that, even though I hate buying from there, they have to make what little money they do from the few dollar price ups. Still find it hard to justify driving 40-45 minutes north or south just for a toy or a comic. Here is what I have to travel. </3

Posed my new SS Venom with Namor to try and pay homage to this badass cover by Marko Djurdjevic (one of my favorite artists).

I recently picked up these vehicles for $5 each at an old video store. I wish they fit the 3.75" scale.

For now i'll have the MU Hulk but think i've found a better scale figure with decent articulation in one of the movie lines that i'll try to get. I hope with the Avengers movie coming Hulk will get some new figures and can't wait for the new MU Hulk. I'm aiming to build my Avengers team as a mish mash from the comics/tv series and movie. But seeing the price of MU Black panther and a decently sized Ant man/Giant Man put me off a lil bit. And seeing the price of MU Vision shocked me, i thought MU may be a nice fairly cheap hobby to go with the ever more expensive world of Transformers (especially with 3rd parties) but seeing it's not gonna be so cheap after all. I'm guessing he'll be re-released at some point in a 2 pack or something tho.

Yes it is, I have the head floating between the Destro movie body and the german cycle soldier body. Can't decide which looks well, cooler considering who it is.

The new hulk coming out next year looks perfect but we'll see. It looks a lot better than the SW one. Although, WW hulk is my favorite one right now.
I think MU is still cheaper than collecting transformers and takes up less shelf space. Agreed there are a few figures that have ridiculous prices tagged on them, I think we all enjoy collecting them for nostalgia, coolness, and affordability. The problem is that since they are cheaper than transformers on a per/figure basis we end up buying more than one, lol. |
