I'm one of those 'in the box' kinda collectors so I can't really tell which details make it a variant but the notable ones are the blue linings on thor's costume and blue lightning like paintscheme on the hammer.

My guess is that they were leftover thors that were repainted to resemble the SDCC11 Marvel Legends exclusive Thor but then again, based on assumption. Haven't gotten any real word on it but when I told my fellow collectors here, they were sold out at TRU.

As for Cap, he's just gotten a brighter blue now compared to the previously released one.

I kinda hope those are just tryouts that we dont' have to hunt for in later revision packs, though with Avengers coming out next year, I think we're going to be neck-deep in Thor, Iron Man, and Cap figures. Which basically means I'll have to get these 'variants' too.

So I got the new Namor today, and DAMN. I feel bad to replace my SDCC one, but this is a major upgrade. So here is my new INVADERS display.

From target 7.99 I also got the Comic pack Doom and Absorbing man I think Im going to return it not sure yet.

And for the deal of the Day, At an out of the way target with a crazy price I cleaned House not any rare ones but now I have some items i can stash and do the ole return for a newer figure for a nice lower price

Couldn't pass on the Gift set. It's not really that bad. Thor and Cap are color/paint improvements, IM looks just like the Secrete Wars version with no detail on him.

The first thing I did was give that shield to Iron Patriot. Sucks I had to spend $30 to get it but the figs are solid and I can always re gift the set.
