Huh. I need an AIM goon anyway for his head- gonna use the toxic-viper from Cobra for a HAZMAT suited AIM guy. That would give me the body for Jack and the head for the AIM custom.

Little help here? Anyone got an AIM goon for a fellow Arker?

It's going straight to the trash so I didn't see the problem, but whatever I was still stoked at finding all those cool figures.

You should have curled up on the display, sucking your thunb and had someone take a pic of you!
That would have been great.

I'm a hitting target tomorrow morning and we'll see what we see- anyone heard of any year-end sales on MU? you'd assume they'd want to clear out Christmas inventory, but most of it's already picked clean locally (besides Power Man comic packs).

Another Target wouldn't even go into their 'stockroom' figures for me. That chick was full of shit, saying "It's against Target's policy to pull stock from the back when the pegs are full on the floor." I've had like 60 different Target members do that for me over the last 6 months. It's a common practice!

Did you buy out the whole new wave case? It's still early enough you can hook Arkers up!
I had some fool give me that BS line at the target on Montgomery, and I know for a fact that they have the sealed endcap display in the back, but he wouldn't pull it out because the pegs were full. This is what I picked up tonight from that target in El Paso:

Psylocke x 2
Storm
Guardian
Variant Electro x 2(another target in the area had remnants of this endcap)
Thing variant

I passed on Thor, DD, and the other Storm because of poor paint apps. I could definitely help other arkers out with the variant electro's. I believe you are looking for a thing variant Pete, if so I could hook you up no problem.

Alucard, where are you located if I may ask? I think us NW folks get this stuff last or something...I have yet to see the Electro/Guardian revision wave. We have so many of the Spider-Woman/Bullseye/Cap. Marvel still...

A lot of stores can't give you displays, but if you ask nicely to get your name put on it when they're going to throw it out/ when they can give it out, my dad got more mcdonalds and etc displays for just asking, sometimes we'd go and ask about a standee or something and they'd say someone already has their name on it.

I'm in southern, New Mexico. El Paso is a little over an hour drive south for me. I usually only go there when I have a trip to Costco like tonight. I've had pretty good luck at the targets down there for MU and DC universe.

I was at the SAME TARGET! I wonder if it was the same person. I PM'd you also.

Too bad Northern New Mexico is so different. I'm always hearing about Phoenix and Houston getting things before Albuquerque. What's up with BOTH SIDES getting stuff before us? It's weird. With a Walmart distribution center close to the north, you'd think we'd get awesome stuff quickly...

That one was a few months back. Some I remember finding that case, and for some odd reason, the middle cardboard placeholder looked funny, and I got a wild hair up my ass to open it, and in it were 2 "Astral" Dr. Stranges in it.

On that day, I learned that most St.Louis toy hunters are either poor, pathetic pieces of shit, pieces of shit, assholes, cunts, douchebags, or just generally useless.

As someone that has seen douchebags standing outside the goddamn stockroom doors to buy an entire case of Star Wars figs before they even hit the pegs, I vote for "all of the above".

My best friend used to work for TRU in miami and the manager kept having to fire employees that bought every single rare toy off the truck while restocking after hours and sold them on ebay for prices that would make even the most jaded scalper blush.
That TRU store mysteriously never had whatever the "it" christmas toy was - not for several years in a row.
Their corporate loss prevention guys got involved when all the Elmo stuff walked out the back door one year- canned everyone right after christmas and had employees from other stores brought in to cover.

And that store, as of last night, still never gets the current MU wave...or at least they never see the sales floor.

Never ever underestimate some collector's ability to be total piles of excrement.

It used to- all the time in the couple of years (2000-02, I think) my pal worked "The Season" for them- and collectors used to pay off stock people, take the figs to LCS and sell it there, where it was immedeatly marked up further.

It's Miami, what did you expect?

Plus, back then there was no BBTS style outfit you could buy a case from- it was the LCS or random hunting.

I was not even collecting back then, but Rob (my pal) used to be a SW fiend and he was always SO PISSED that he was on register knowing the truck of new stuff was being raped while he was stuck there.

But it's amazing how the target right across the street gets all sorts of rare stuff and TRU never does- they're good for whatever you missed last wave- but damn.

Why does everyone hate ebay? Has everyone had a bad experience on there or what? I've bought over 200 things on there and had maybe 1 bad seller.

lol wouldn't moon knight be an obvious choice to put in the batmobile? Also, those few posts about your scalper issues is rediculous. But, I think my toysrus may be doing this as it is rare to see new figs. Like, MONTHS if that. but all those stores kinda blow, and target is always more stocked than they are which is kinda sad.
