I sadly had to pass the Thing figure up myself in favor of buying both the new two-packs. I hid an extra behind some WWE figures so hopefully when I make my rounds tomorrow he'll still be there. I did that with a Black Widow once and the bastards put out new stock and moved the Widow figure and she got purchased. ):

I finally got around to opening up T'Challa last night. Not bad. He has a pretty unique mold/sculpt to him. I'm not a fan of those weird spinning joints he has, but he's actually very poseable and easy to balance for me. Hopefully he'll be kicking some ass on the big screen in 2014.

Nice pics Optimus, I like him and the target 2 pack is a cool figure also with his cape. I think I prefer the single carded one you have above though because of the darker black.

Which Wolverine do you guys think looks better? It's First Class (your left) & XMO (your right), if anyone didn't know.

The XMO's paint lines are a little smoother, but I do like the style of the First Class suit. One thing I've noticed, and it's not just on the Comic Packs, is that it seems like maybe the quality of the paint itself has gone down or something. I have three of this mold (XMO, FA, FC), and the XMO is nice and smooth looking while the FA and FC versions almost look like they were painting with water paints or something... like it's "thin paint" or something. Also, in the crevices of the figure, it's very dark. The XMO version is smooth and very consistent. I don't know if this is just glossy vs. matte paint or what (I really have no clue about paint and this sort of thing), but there's a difference.

Edit: Also notice that the XMO version has black painted in between the claws, while the FC version doesn't. The MU FA version has the black there too.

I was surprised with Black Panther as well, I was sacred that maybe his staff would weigh him down, but his poses make it much easier to keep it positioned right.

My favorite MU figure just because he's my favorite Marvel character.

Screw the staff. I really don't know why his Leige came with a naginata anyway. It's worse than Wolverine and all those katanas. Hasbro was really lazy with that first wave.

Now you must go and buy the IM vs BP 2pk at Target just for the cape. Sucks, I know, but that cape is looks awesome and fits perfectly on the W1 BP figure, and he's a lot more complete that way.

If you wann go all out, add MU GGs or Hobgoblin's satchel to him as well. I'd take pics, but I'm a lazy bastard.

Taskmaster is pretty sweet. The one I got has loose ankles, but they should be fine after I hit them with clear nail polish. His cape is super heavy, so having strong ankles is key. As bulky as the cape is, it looks really good how it's flowing around his arrows. Overall, a nice looking MU figure.

..and Cable is still the shit.

The two pack is leagues better than the first offering- diffrernt buck (I think) better paint (with the stripes) and the all-important cape.
Really worth the price right there ('cause that IM does truly sucketh)

.
Explain this please! You use the clear nail polish and let it dry before putting the feet back on?

I just had to strengthen the knees and an ankle on my WWII Cap because the foot fell right off and the plastic is so soft that the knees were super loose and weak.
I used the "super glue trick" of applying a drop and moving the parts back and fro untill the glue dries and the joint tightens.

I've only done it once (and it was on a Transformer), but if you can pop the joint apart and the put a layer of clear nail polish on them, then let it dry before putting it back on, it'll thicken things up a bit. It worked really well on a loose Transformers shoulder.

I appreciate that these are carried in Disney Stores too.

What I don't appreciate is the Disney Store price tag... $50 fazools, folks! $50.

Short story time..
So the reason you see two sets here (variant and regular) is because I walked into that magical store, with the casino carpeting and overly-bubbly sales associate, today to check the MU scene and at first all I saw was the same old MU figs I see at the Target by me that re-ups their good shit about once a season, but then I saw a stack of about five 35th sets. The first one I pick up is the variant... "Nice!.... wait,.. $50!?!?... is this wrong?" I check another and it's also a variant... "Fuck!! Two variants of sets I don't need.. damnit!!!" The gears are turning, the bubbly, but very plain looking, chick that works there starts to ask me something, but I shrug her off because I'm thinking of a way to save $15 on a $35-$50 set I could do without in the first place. I'm sure she just wanted to ask me to bang her in the back anyway,.. and I had no time for that... I was working on a toy scheme. "aha!.. got it!!" So I buy one of the $50 variants, shoot across the street to TRU and buy one of their regular $35 sets (which rang up $38 but the shelf tag says $35.. all I did was mention that to the cashier and she adjusted it without skipping a beat).... later this week I'll stop at the Disney store and return the regular I got at TRU to get my $50 back and... Boom!.. $35 variant set and I'm a happy fool.

And then I get home and this guy is on my doorstep..

..thank you, omega145!

Good toy day.. month.. year...

Edit- If any of you guys collect Marvel Select, the Disney store had a ton of them... Spidy, Thor, Ironman, Magneto, and Deadpool,.. at least two of each at $20 a pop.

Glad you got it Ken. Good idea on the swap, I'm sure a few people who hadn't thought about it beforehand are going to do it now.

Nooo, no, no, no, my friend. That little body is okay for Daredevil and maybe Magneto, but not for BP. I probably do have a double standard though. The paintjob isn't all that great either IMO. I'd rather just have the black plastic. I have plenty of the 2pk BP laying around. That 2pk is best for just the cape.
