The bike is from transformer animated series. The figure is oil slick.

Add some paint and molded the fire. I'm going to get a hot glue gun to get the transparent look soon. I'm going to watch it tonight.

I actually liked the blue and yellow X-Men costumes of the 90's. Most of them anyway. You can take Cable, Cyclops, Bishop, Forge, Jim Lee Wolverine, etc and they all clearly look like they belong on a team together.

It's why they have to live on that island...and why everyone hates them despite their saving the world a bunch of times.

Personally, I always thought the matching uniforms made them look like a cheer squad- just give Wolvie a pair of pom-poms next time he gets the old "fastball special" ('cause that does not sound homoerotic enough).

Really, I think Jim Lee was building towards a slashfic.

Even the Avengers sorta tried it back then- though leather team jackets in winter made a hell of a lot more sense...untill you realised that the Cap and the Black Knight were wearing their jackets over chainmail.
In winter. In New York.

Let us know how is the movie. I am thinking of going to watch it tomorrow... like you said, just because it is Marvel, haha....

It's bad- I watched Ghost Rider in the hospital on a bunch of painkillers (busted leg nightmare) and it still sucked.
The production is good and the effects are allright but the story is bad- and the unforgivable sin is not (just) Nick Cage's "acting" but that Ghost Rider is such a sissy!

This new movie looks a million times better from the trailer- like someone said "Lets shoot more for "Danny Ketch hospitalizes bad guys" and less for "Johnny Blaze 70's nostalga".

I just Googled "Transformers Oil Slick" and am suitably impressed by that toy! Both it's robot and cycle forms look great for MU customizing!
Amazing how well the figure fits on there too...though I question any robot that lets a human straddle him...
That's just...unnatural.

in regards to Showdown figs:

Thing
Thor
Hulk
Beast
Moleman
Doc Ock
Colossus
Magneto (MU headswap)

all winners, IMO.

I have both and both are fantastic figs...but if they were giving Rhino the armor anyway, I wish they'd goe with his Sinister Syndicate outfit/armor.

Also, how does Rhino pee? Or...well...
You know what? I dont need to know.

I bet that winter Soldier head would rock for a Nighwing custom!

That SHS/MU Spidey is AWESOME. Hasbro should learn a thing or two from it!

Also, I got my Fantastic Four Future Foundation variant pack in the mail today! So good!

I disagree about Hulk (the new MU Hulk will blow Showdown out of the water) and Colossus (too skinny in the midsection +MU version is awesome and easier to track down). I would add to the list, however, Green Goblin and Daredevil. Some folks prefer the Venom as well, but I'm not the biggest fan of that one.

naturally the new Hulk blows everything out of the water. i was merely applauding the SHS Hulk for being a winner, but def not the end-all, be-all.

as for Colossus, side by side, i prefer the SHS version w/out question. the thin mid section is not enough to detract me from the awesome articulation, better face sculpt, and vibrant colors. the fig just pops in silver. the MU version is so blah, im surprised you prefer it - but we're all snowflakes, at the end of the day. 'easier to track down' is never a good excuse to settle on a fig, unless we're talking Vision. lol. plus w Sinister using the buck, it was easy to ditch the MU Colossus.

I'm not a snowflake, pal.
I'm a hailstone.

How much is SHS Venom going for? I was thinking of that body for a Super Skrull custom.

The new movie has the same directors as the guys who did Crank 1 and 2, so the pase of the movie is suppose to be a lot faster and more in your face. Supposidly 80% of the action in the movie is done by real stunt people, the main use of cgi is used for the flame/skull portions which is awesome. I'm still not a huge fan of Nicholage Cage as Ghost Rider, but aww well. I may yet see this movie in theatres.

Just saw it. Nic Cage is let loose in this! 50% of the movie is him losing his shit. Story was AWFUL, Characters where ok, but damn, the action scenes where great.

is it worth paying $12 to see it in 3D? or is this a renter/out of 10 rating?

Yeah I agree with this. The story was pretty bad, action was cool, Nic Cage, well its Nick Cage nuff said. I hate to say it but I actually think the first one was better. That is just my opinion though. They definitely made Ghost Rider more wicked in this movie.

The trailer for the new Spider-man looks soo sweeet though and Avengers right around the corner, I can't wait for summer.

Totally agree, I think the first one was better, had to watch this in 3D too and pay more for it ugh. What's up with all the movies being in 3D at night and you have no choice to watch it in 3D. Movie moved way to fast too.

But this makes up for it.

If you guys are saying the first Ghost Rider was better you're telling me the sequel is the worst movie ever made.
