ok, since theres theres not gonna be any MU for a good long while, I decided to try my hand at painting figs without the use of spray paint. Since i cant afford BAF giant man, i made one from scratch. Hes made from a 6 inch wrestling fig i found for like 5 bucks. It was worth it considering he didnt have hair, and had molded shorts and boots. Its my first hand painted custom so dont be too harsh

Some of my new setup. I know you guys like your Dio's but I dont have any sets and doubt I will ever get any. I just like to do static type setups.

Mixed in with some mini busts. ;-)

Those displays look outstanding. The X-Men display is particularly awesome, reminds me of a comic cover. Not sure which issue though if any at all. Just has the cover vibe to it.

Nothing wrong with that first custom- far better than my first custom was!
What he needs is another (darker!) coat of paint, touch up the areas that wore off there and shade it with drybrushing- believe me, a custom can go from D- to A plus with just some TLC.
A lot of what he needs is just paint- and painting his antennas will really help his look.
The fig's sculpt is great...though his face looks like Ultron just disintegrated his puppy!
You can fix that with pant though- just angle the top of his mask's eye-openings slightly downward toward the nose so he'll look more pissed than suicidal.

That idea is so brilliant that I'm doing the exact same thing with a Randy Orton fig- and making a Masters of Evil Goliath from another!

Really, dont get discouraged- the worst that can happen is you decide to repaint it into somethng else- you can make one of Kang's Growing Man androids, a Kree Sentry, Titan (from the Imperial Guard) ...Marvel's got a lot of size-changers!

Anyone know a long-haired (but clean shaven) wresteler fig that I can use for Titan?
Nothing so unfair as a guy that grows as big as a skyscraper and can freakin fly!

As for a long haired clean shaven wrestler theres John Morrison but the newer figs they made of him might have him with a beard so you might want to look for his older figs.
