On another mu appreciation note, I got my cerebro helmet in. I appreciate how other lines blends well with mu. I think the helmet can be a bit smaller but the overall effect works. I can even use it for jean grey and my emma frost custom. I want to do a cerebro room dio now. ![]() ![]() |

Can anyone weigh in on whether or not the Iron Fist/Power Man comic pack is worth picking up? I see it pretty much every time I go into a store and I have to admit I like the 70s version of Iron Fist yellow booties and all.

I'd recommend it. I like the collar version of iron fist and I like the mold used for powerman. That version of cage has the neck pivot.

Saw this on ebay, thought i'd share with you guys. The price is kinda steep, but it looks so cool seeing carnage blended into hulk

Granted I grew up in the 70s so its the versions I grew up with but to me the other I.F.s are too "plain". The collar, slippers, and open chest with tattoo give him a more complex looks. Love the Powerman too. So in answer to your question YES, it's worth it. |

Dude! Youre almost right where I am but you've got the wrong character!
Swap out the legs for X-23's, add native American tassels to the boot tops, give her a spear and bow and you get the perfect Dani Moonstar! (though I paited mine a darker black on the hair). Great Scarlett Spider, BTW- nice bright colors there! Quote:
That Iron Fist just looks a bit cooler than the carded version but the Power man is a million times better than the carded version! Much larger and more muscular, as the new figs are closer to 4" than 3.75"- he looks like he'd take the carded version's lunch money and make him say "Thank you sir!" for doing it! Several times I have considered sanding off the tiara and fro for the perfect modern Luke Cage.....but I am a lazy man at times. So...lazy....ZZZzzzz Symbiote, that Professor X just eeps looking better all the time! What's the parts breakdown again? Destro body, Luthor head and....what? So...lazy....ZZZzzzz Since I finally snagged my #1 sought after MU (comic pack Daredevil) I'm trying to build up a street level MU display with guys like DD, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, etc. but I'm not sure who else to display. I'm thinking of Wolverine but I'm don't know how I feel about putting the Astonishing suit version (all I have really) in there. I'd rather put in a street clothes Logan but I don't know where I'd find one cheap. I'm also thinking of The Thing using the Fantastic Four 3-pack version. Anyway thanks for all the tips fellow MU junkies. Last edited by snake5289; 04-13-2012 at 05:54 PM.. |

You can get that Fist/Power Man pack for pretty cheap, I've seen it on eBay for like $10 at one point. I've thought about it as I like that Fist better and the singled carded one I have has a bum leg. Plus I want some form of Cage and the single figure is a little overpriced to me.

Add the upcoming Punisher and Darkhawk! DH started out street level- trying to discover why his cop father was on the take and disappeared.

Good call I completely forgot about the upcoming Punisher.
As for Darkhawk he's also one of the MU figures I still have yet to see in person but since I know absolutely nothing about him I never really worried about getting him. May have to look into getting him now though. |

Nice to see I'm not alone in my love of high collars, open shirts, and chest tattoos. I'll more than likely be getting this set next time I head out but wanted to make sure I shouldn't be looking for some other versions of the characters. I'm not a fan of the other Iron Fists (like others said too plain looking) and I never saw the modern Luke Cage in these parts.

That's pretty much the breakdown. I tend to swap out the hands with whatever fodder character I have. I think I've used a combination of either open hands from Obi Wan SW and Ultimate Magneto for closed hands. The chair is a custom I bought off of Martian410 and cerebro from minimates. I even bought a minimate magneto from the same evilbay seller to try to make a magneto with a detachable helmet. And I think Hawkeye. Nick Fury I heard was wave 4. |

I was planning on getting the Moon Knight/Ant-Man pack but it seems to have been shelved. It's a damn shame if they don't release that pack because I like both characters a lot and was really looking forward to adding an Ant-Man figure to my collection.
