as a newer member i found this site gave me a pretty damn warm welcome when i first joined, they've also been really helpful with any and all questions ive had. the community here are a great and helpful group of people and I, for one, am grateful i found(and joined) this site.
now if someone can help me with another question lol, I still cant decide which Spider-Man to get! out of wave 1, 5 and the ones that came packed with Thunderball, Captain Britain, Sentry and Green Goblin, which do you guys think is the best paint wise, scale wise, and articulation wise? i've been researching around for reviews and stuff but i still dont know, so your suggestions and opinions will be much appreciated ![]() damn that is one nice figure!, the head sculpt is amazing! |

The latest MU figures are certainly catching up with this one, but it was the gold standard for articulation. |

I like my House of M Spidey. I just can't get into the movie suit though the articulation on it is the best. As a classic all around Spidey I like the Spidey from the Sentry comic pack.

They have had it on sale a time or two but what you really want to do is wait for it to go clearance. all the kmarts in my area have like 15+ of these so hopefully they don't wait to much longer to pull the trigger as I'm sure it is costing them money. also a friend who works there said inventory is coming up, so who knows.

i've seen the peg intergration only at walmart which annoyed me because before that thor and Captain america where on clearance with IM and I was ready to buy. so I got my list together and when I went back it was 8.97 and I told the wife "it ain't worth it"

I would wait perhaps until the newest Spidey comes out in the next wave. The way these have worked is that they have been getting progressively better in terms of articulation, sculpt and paint. The Captain Britain was very good but I've had trouble with one of the legs.

The latest MU figures are certainly catching up with this one, but it was the gold standard for articulation. and the thing is i would like one definitive Spidey for my collection right now, until i decide to "double up" and whatnot, but with so many of him, you can see my problem lol. ive seen the Captain Britain pack but im not sure how close to classic it is compared to any of the others, i'll keep him in mind though. and the SDCC one is pretty damn good, but expensive lol. does he fit good with other MU's? House of M one is pretty cool but im looking more along classic, i think im gunna research the Sentry and Captain Britain ones a bit more.. |

If you are looking for a good spidey right now, the decent one is the one that came with Captain Britain. It is essentially the same one that is in the Sentry comic pack but different head mold (smaller eyes) and added thigh swivels. The upcoming ultimate spidey seems like it doesn't even have thigh swivels but I could be wrong. My main gripe with the new ultimate spidey is no rocker ankles. I think the paper bag head spidey and Future Foundation Spidey is supposed to have rocker ankles but I think its the Dark Spiderman mold (a bit bigger in size). |

The SDCC one is in scale with MU. It's basically the original Spidey mold with all the added articulation.

Yeah, I just don't like Kmart, there are always land mines in the parking lot, and by landmines I mean disposed diapers...

i've noticed A LOT of new posters coming out from hiding lately, which is very encouraging and positive. ToyArk, so far, is a haven for down-to-Earth collectors and enthusiasts who openly welcome new members and help each other out in the process. a real community. glad ur digging it. good stuff. Quote:

I did get a Mark 1 comic IM for $1.26 though, so not a total waste. I'd be on that Three pack for 12-13 bucks as the Red Gaurdian is theonly real draw for me, MU have superior Cap Britain's and A's |

I had a Kmart near me close down this month and they wouldn't even discount that CapA three pack past $16.99, bastards.

I have the Spiderman from the first wave/TRU 3 pack. I have it and will stay with it for one reason only, the web shooting hands , granted he is missing the thumb (Doctor Strange actually has the perfect hands for it) , Spiderman for me is not really a complete spiderman without those hands. Plus he is not too tall like the newer molds, he has sculpted web lines versus the painted ones and I dont think he is expensive like the SDCC one. Hope that helps.

I can agree with that. But the single carded MU Britain is the cat's ass! Big too, also Ultimate Cap A doesn't look too thin. But yeah SW Cap A and the any use of that mold looks too thin for Rogers.
