Well to my suspicious mind,i think you maybe busted a scalpers insider,he seemed to know a lot about what was in demand (that crock he told you about wave1 could have been the bullshit he gives non figure qualified Joe public who ask questions) Consider the possibility that he is sliding the desirable figures to someone else for resale,along comes you,who SHOCK HORROR knows his stuff,and he's thinking im in the shit here,so he uses the SS to back him up,and dismisses you as some toy weirdo to her,she goes back to her duties none the wiser,he goes back to his toy-stealing,scalper helping rat-bastard ways breathing a sigh of relief........

So I continue to talk to him and explain (calmly) why what he is telling me makes no sense (i mean cmon I know the game and know why there are no wave 2 figs there), I then ask why there are no wave 2, he gets even more distrought at me (I dont know why) and continues to make excuses as to why there are only wave one! I am not quite sure why he was so pissed as I was not...

He then gets a store supervisor involved and to the SS's behalf she was (i guess) backing her employee...

she starts rambling on about how if I wanted them I would have to order them online and have them shipped, as I was simply just stating how her store employee was completely wrong (in the most open minded tone I could), and she started to change her demeanor...

~Again~ I dont know why as the employees were the ones making a big deal out of it...

I dont know if they knew they were wrong or what?

Then they asked if I WOULD LEAVE. So I politely left with nothing...and trust me I WILL NEVER go back there again...

I just didnt get how I had done nothing wrong, and I was asked to leave...

Rather than argue about Avengers toys, Id probably ask you to leave too. LOL But then again.. I have never worked retail for just this reason..I dont feel like dealing with customers like this. Ok, so what ..his reasons why there were no wave 2 werent satisfactory for you.. so you kept asking him the same question? Id just punch you in the throat and turn in my smock. hahaha

Just to make it clear.. i dont think he was right either.

The moral of this story.. (IMO) dont be one of two grown men standing in TRU arguing about action figures.

Call Toys R Us and complain- if they seriously were that dickish and told you to order stuff online rather than shop at their store...well, it's a good bet they act that way to everyone, not just collectors.
They'll try to give you coupons or some crap- it's how corporate deals with people that complain- but refuse to accept: tell them the experience has soured you on TRU and you wont be spending any more money with them- that you'll take the manager's advice and buy online from someone else.

Then those two asshats in the store will see their snowball roll back downhill at them as an avalanche of HR bullshit!

Even when there's nothing new to be had, employees can be cool as hell- I got to talking with this dude stocking at Walmart this week and he was a real fan. Told me how all the MU and Avengers stuff had been flying off the pegs since the movie dropped- good news for collectors as it opens pegs for wave 18!

I know my local TRU has scalpers and probably among the employees. I've seen large amounts of stuff that gets highly marked up on ebay disappear in the middle of a shopping trip while my wife and I are looking at baby stuff. And both times it was stuff I was just looking at. I suspect an employee stashed the stuff when they saw me looking at it because both times no one came to the checkout with a cart full of the stuff. I get it, these guys make minimum wage, but do they have to take all the hard to find stuff? Leave some fir the rest of us.

The MU Avengers LUB case assortments were allocated by store. The reason why is they made/ordered sooo much of w1. For some reason they really thought common figures slightly repainted would fly off the shelves. That’s why w1 is about 5:1 to w2 right now.

The reason why the guy blew up is because you two were having a "Geek" moment. Much like the "N" moment (as explained in the animated comedy "The Boondocks "), neither of you could've backed down before proving the other wrong.

The store supervisor deserved that throat punch because we all know the customer is always right.

I was in TRU last week picking up some stuff with b-day money and all they had of light up base Avengers were 3 of each of the first wave. Picked up the Hulk though and he's so freaking awesome. I was really hoping to find Black Panther and Black Widow though.

stores dont like looking in the back for shitttt becuase that bs rule collectors cants ask for stuff who cares they make the money anyway and shitttt hardly ever come out of back anyway i just found a gigantic battle golith at walmart with thor how is that there because they had in the back
