So, a few weeks ago some fellow arkers told me how I may help solve my lack of restocking of Marvel Universe in my local Wal-Mart. So I bought the 2 Namors, returned them a city over, and now my wait is over! To my amazement I saw....wait, NOTHING! Price tags are gone and replaces with these stupid Spider Man motor cycle things =/. So in other words, I am hooped locally!

Oh well, after seeing the Cap movie, I am wanting to make a "flame off" Jim Hammond. Anyone got any ideas what to use for body, head, ect?

Time for some "Fire 'n' Ice" set pictures (that's what the shelf tag at Target says even though it's no where to be found on the package). I think everyone is in agreement on their feelings towards "Arctic Assault" Cap. However, if you were on the fence, or haven't spotted a single carded Red Skull--get this one. I think the suit has a little more detail to it. And I'm not sure if the cosmic cube being red makes sense, but the red cube it comes with looks pretty hot.

About the Fire&Ice set, I remember Skull being in that red-striped costume, but not that army green one at all.

Thanks they are the basic Star Wars Effects.

I am waiting that MU starts to include more effects, I know Superheroes usually wont come with a big pack of Guns like the GI Joe but effects would be welcomed...

I hear you. I've been saying this and ill say it again. It's such BS how with every GI Joe you get a figure stand, a file card, and many different accessories that are usually not the same as any other figure.

Meanwhile we get nothing but the figure or the same blast effect or rifle with every figure. Come on Hasbro! They are the same price as GI Joe's but yet where is Cyclops eye laser, Magneto's or Jean Grey's force field, an insane arsenal of weapons for Punisher and a lot of figures not coming with stands???

It's insane but yet we deal with it and keep buying because we love them so much.

I asked this question during the hasbro panel at sdcc. They need more accessories like blast effects, hand swaps, head swaps, etc. They liked the idea and nodded. I hope we can expect this in 2012 or sooner.

Also, they do look to see what ppl are saying on the boards so lets keep it up.

I for one can't wait for Darkhawk. I grew up reading his comics as a kid and a figure is LONG overdue IMO.

This is the advantage of having accessories:

Seriously, a crappy Wolverine for 8 bucks or a really cool Joe with some awesome accessories for the same price (actually 6.99 at walmart).

I like gi joe accessories but not the figures.. I used to collect them when I was a kid and got out of them as a young teen. I look at some of them and think sick guns, accessories, animals, and sometimes vehicles, but the figures are meh at best IMO, to each their own, but there's something about a marvel figure which gives it more appeal, the superhero part appeals, where as gi joe is suppose to be a regular hardworking guy/girl.

Actually in this particular case, POC Recondo is crappy and 1st App Wolvie is awesome. But I totally agree with your positive point of "more accessories".

You just should have used W3 Snake Eyes vs. W1 Iron Man or something.

I disagree. The Recondo is actually a very good figure IMO and that 1st appearance wolverine head sculpt is awful. I didnt think that many people actually liked that Wolverine from what I read on these forums and from what I see when they are peg warming so often.

Review for POC Recondo in case anyone else was interested:
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...c-recondo.html

There are much cooler GI Joes but I thought it would be clever to use Wolverine since a Wolverine is actually a real animal.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I appreciate the feedback I got from jason and behindthemask. Bought some plasti dip to create the symbiote tendrils.

Lizard

Got my warpath from the 3 pack. With some silver touch up paint, he goes well with the messiah group shot.

I picked up a resident evil hunter and other resident evil creature to go along with my simple wesker custom. I'm currently looking for a better coat for him.

Nice dude! I love the Cap with the American flag, great touch [guessing its the Gi Joe one that came with Duke?] You have some real gems in there [Regular Vision, Warpath] and some impossible to finds, for me anyways. [Kmart Cap 3 pack, Both Goliaths, ect]
