She's still kinda his clone though except not really. They used tissue samples from Wolverine to make an embryo and implanted it into Sarah Kinney. It's kinda like almost like in vitro fertilization. The reason it resulted in the clone being a girl is because the cells from the tissue sample were too far damaged so somehow or another there was no Y chromosome. So kinda think of it like Wolverine was a metaphorical sperm doner rather than her being his clone.

Yup, exactly. It's more akin to the italian doctor that did just that to 'clone' 3 children for a widow in the real world. They literally cloned her dead husband's sperm. She had 2 boys and a girl from it in conjunction with fertility treatments.

Due to the tissue damage, that was the direction Dr. Kinney took, even going so far as to use her own eggcells to avoid offsetting the inventory of the stem-cell like ones they were using for the male cloning attempts. That comes across in the Dr. Rice comment when he confronts her and then makes her be the surrogate parent.

So she is a clone in the broader sense of the definition, but that broader definition also indirectly says all children are clones of their parents, which is why I often disregard it.

Definitely xD.

She'd be a hirsute lass. A mini female wendigo with claws and no tail. That'd be nightmare inducing. Thank god the girl I'm seeing doesn't read here. We get in mild arguments about hypocrisy, sexism, and how looks mean everything to the world. So my being grateful X-23 isn't hairy, would get me smacked, just as my slip up about seeing her was largely based on me thinking she's hot got a pillow thrown at my head. It's a mess somedays, but she does have a point that I'm a hypocrite. I'm biased towards aesthetic beauty though I tend to be preachy about how wrong that is.

Interesting, I should find some books with her in them, see if I like her in action as much as in description. Thanks for the insights!

Just working with great material! I look at my own deadpool and know I'll never match your comedy genius.

I need my own character to horse around with...maybe that AIM nut with the hat.

Or Thanos- there's a lot of comedy deep within Thanos.

Thanks!

Crazy that you say that I was gonna go with the goon aspect of the AIM guys, it seems like they would f*ck up alot of plans and diobolical plots but idk deadpool as a solo act worked lol

If you do.
Check out the following. I'm still trying to figure out a read order myself though, but these are the story order.

X-23: Innocence Lost (6 Issue miniseries) Origin.

X-23: Target X (6 issue miniseries) Origin. She meets Captain America and Daredevil.

NYX (6 issue miniseries) Fallout from second origin story.

(here's where I've got my read order missing since she's in uncanny and normal X-Men here but the characterization and details are all wrong. It goes so far as to state her full skeleton is adamantium, she has brown eyes, acts feral and is literally a carbon copy of wolverine.)

Academy X New X-Men: Childhood's End (Academy X: New X-Men issue 20-end) These issues also try to explain the reason X-23 acted like she did in previous X-Men and Uncanny appearances by having Logan yell at her about playing mindgames with the team.

Marvel Team up Issues 5-6 (She meets spider-man)

X-Force V3 (angels and demons tpbs to end X-force v3 issue 1-end)

Messiah War (Lots of comics, hopefully it's in tpb form)

Then X-23's ongoing issue 1-3 which is now getting the tpb treatment finally starting in October.

X-men to serve and protect issue 2, which is before issue 4 of the ongoing but after issue 3. She meets ghost rider!

X-23's ongoign issues 4-current. Where so far she's only met the Future Foundation.

Fear itself the homefront issue 5-end (She meets Spider-Girl, and the modern Powerman, Cho, and some other youngsters.)

Avengers Academy issue 23. Not until next year, but no clue how it fits into the rest.

The modern ongoing doesn't have as much focus on tactics and action, prefering to be more subtle about it, and playing up the perceptions angle alongside the self-discovery, but the origin minis and academy X are full of it. So is X-Force with how she berates wolverine about poor strategy.

You can effectively skip the uncanny and normal x-men appearances though, as Yost and Kyle wrote a back door way in to just go from Target X to academy X, but NYX plays a huge factor into the modern characterization and has the fallout from Target X.

Personally, I highly recommend the Origin 2 minis, Academy X, and X-Force. The ongoing has a mixed start but gets great later. Including Collision the daken crossover which is in TPB form now. If you want to really know the character though, the read order really helps to get the ins and outs of the personality, the whys, and helps convey a better understanding of the character and the details to her that everyone misses.

I saw a Thanos at TRU today too. I didn't need him (left him), but that's only the second time I've seen him in stores (other time was last Jan when I bought him); so it's good to see peeps who missed out on that beast are getting another shot.

I do gotta give the thor movie props, and here's why.

I typically despise thor. Not with a passion, he just doesn't do anything for me. His comic character now is bearable as he's grown more humble as time went on, but original thor and that corny costume just did nothing for me that I couldn't get from just reading the original mythology. Same reason I dislike Hulk vs Thor. The comic universe asgard just does nothing for me.

The movie on the otherhand. Just wow. I love the costumes, I loved the story, and I loved the dialogue. It sold thor to me in a way the comics and animation never could. So I gotta give the Thor movie props. It took a character I couldn't care less about, and made it into one I actually found quite enjoyable.

I always liked Thor but he was never on my top 5 superheroes list. It was always spidey #1,wolverine #2, IM #3, xmen #4, hulk #5, and then spawn lol. I really enjoyed the thor movie, I felt some parts a bit predictable, but Heimdall, Odin, Loki and Thor has amazing casting and well done performances. It's hard to believe the guy that played Loki is Richard Greco, same guy from Night at the Roxbury. fun fact of the day lol. I have yet to see cap, I'm gonna wait and either dl it or buy it on bluray.
