Bishop's right arm is robotic. Cable's left arm is robotic. They'd need to do a new arm as well.

Oh wow that Cable is soooooo nice. I just hate how they gave him a running change becouse anyone who gets Cable without Hope is bassicly getting an incomplete figure.

Agreed. It's one thing to get a variant of a figure, but Cable's "variant" just flat out comes with less product. They should've just packaged one with and one without baby, but include him in both packages.. I don't get the "you ain't gettin' all the accessories!" approach with this one at all.

I said that long ago.. some people wanted the variant so bad and I just didn't understand. I kept saying it was dumb as you literally found something less.

Hell I will sell all kinds of variants to everyone who wanted that Hopeless Cable. I have a one-arm cyclops.. no head air assault drone.. these variants are super rare!!

I'm glad I hung onto my Cables w/Hope. I have my loose one on display and my MOSC waiting for the right moment to bait the trade!

Well here's my question, does the "Hope-less" Cable still have the chest piece (silver piece)? Because I'm pretty sure the one with Hope has it permanently attached to the chest piece. Sure the chest piece is removable, but it would look a little bare. At least with the one without Hope you still have a chest piece and aren't forced to have a baby on it... I hope that makes sense because I had a world of trouble wording that for some reason lol

Well... I got my without Hope. And I really don't care. My love of Cable comes from Deadpool and Cable, not the Messiah Complex stuff

The Hope variant comes with both chestplates, Hope and, er Hopeless.....

The non Hope variant does have the "Hopeless" chestpiece, not sure if they went ahead and glued it in though..

Yes the hopless one is glued. Well I really haven't tried taking it off. But I assumed it was glued on.

He comes with a spare chest peice to make up for the missing Hope

I don't think so... mine came with one chest piece, glued in place. No spare, nothing to 'make up for' the lack of Hope.

It's weird to because. The running change is the Hopless one I believe. Because everyone was finding Hope first and a lot before the hopeless one. Now the hope one is almost non existent

I think this is the case. I found both of mine probably 3 months ago now? maybe even longer......time seems to just blur on by.....

Has there been any rumours as to why there was even a running change? Because if the Cable w/ Hope was the variant that would make some sense to me. But the fact that the Cable w/o Hope is the running change seems odd and they (Hasbro) must have a reason as to why they did it.

Maybe they deemed the Hope chestpiece a choking hazard? Regulations may have forced them to glue in the non Hope chestpiece.

That makes sense to me until you get to his pistol, which is the same size, so I can't really see a reason other than cost cutting.

i remember there being a ton of flack against hasbro because everyone thought hope was a permanent fixture on the cable figure based on the early shots. so i think hasbro did the running change without hope to appease the masses only for us to find out with the packaged figure that hope was always gonna be a separate piece.

so another wave of backlash against hasbro ensued after the toy was released because people were enraged that hasbro would "cheap out" on us by not including both chest pieces with every figure.
