Emma frost is right and is a must need. I had a hard time finding a good face to use. I hacked up an old star wars figure and had to cut off the neck and drill a hole for the peg. Cut off some of the hair to wedge into a ms marvel hair. I'm going to try to finish it up by the end of the week, although some of my time will go towards call of duty this week.

I hate the MU thor because it looks too "cartoony" and the movie line ones pretty much suck unless you like the dude that played thor. Every classic avengers pack thor that ive seen had god awful paint aps on the face leaving only this thor and enchantress thor two pack as the only representations of what thor is really supposed to look like vis a vie the comics. So not wanting or needing enchantress i stayed away from that one but i'm excited to recieve the giant battles one because i hope it looks good.

What about the new thor coming out in the next wave? I think its the one from sdcc age of thunder. I'm waiting on this one.

The Thor with Black Goliath is the cyborg/robot ting from Civil War- the one that blew a giant gaping hole through Goliiath's chest, killing him.
Kinda an odd pair of characters to have boxed together, frankly.

you know i do like the look of that one, very cool in fact. But i'm a bit sentimental and a pureist when it comes to wanting to own characters that look like I remember them.

It's pretty cool that they change stuff I guess, but if it is available I want to have one that is a representation of the comics I read when I was young, since I don't really read them anymore.

Thats why I really want a XMO gambit and a Classic look Havoc but I refuse to pay 40 bucks a peice from scalpers.

The new Havoc looks just lazy as shit, kinda like a DC character and The gambit in the up coming two pack looks like he's headed to a bar called the Tool Box.

Is it too much to ask to have the guys the way they are supposed to be?

P.S. It also pisses me off that when the new storm comes out they will have released three that all pretty much look shitty. Can we get a 90's storm or what??

And there are some guys that do some amazing customs on here and other places, but nothing beats a factory figure that has a good paint apps.

Thanks mastersteef and coffeeaddict. I really liked finishing these two customs despite the lack of articulation. I was fortunate enough to find a showdown venom loose at sdcc this year for $5. I didn't like the head he came with so I swapped it out for the spiderman toxic blast one. I didn't want to get aloose mu sabertooth to do the leg swap trick. My lazy way of getting a venom figure with leg articulation. The tendrils are an added plus and creates the symbiote looking effect. I got a bunch of tendrils that are removable.

I just did a repaint of the toxic strike one. Didn't make any tendrils for him though but good idea. I also did a spider carnage figure as well (ben reilly).

I took some tie wraps and dipped them in plasti dip. You can find it at any hardware store. They have all different colors but I bought black and red. Its like $8 for a can. I think I need to find white for anti venom now. I just followed the tutorials from jin saotome and figure realm. Its fairly easy.

I am in Christchurch and since the Earthquakes there doesn't seem to be any Marvell Universe on any of the shelves here in the remaining shops not destroyed by the Quakes so all I can do is look online at all the new MU Figures being released and just agonisingly wait and hope they will again restock them. Farmers and the Warehouse don't seem to be bothering with them. I so badly want to get my hands on the Avengers boxed set! Any way nice tale indeed, good on you for getting those.

Awesome how this thread has picked up with some great pictures lately. Awesome customs Symbiote and that Spawn Alley playset is looking pretty good so far, just need that new camera! Nice headswap on that Iceman too.
