I'm sorry your figures were ruined. Maybe you can store them at your parent's or a friend's house for a while? I had to start storing my stuff in a giant pile in a legal bookcase when I got cats, because they started playing with them, until I was able to go to Ikea and get some display cases. I was even buying the new figures, and putting them right into the pile, waiting to get a case.

yep. its been fine for the 5 years we have been here, but the tenant downstairs moved out randomly never to be heard from again (i can only assume she ran off with her boyfriend to the us and said screw you to Canada and her responsibilities here)

now its smokers heaven 24/7

the landlord is actually a decent guy he has gone to talk to them but realistically all he can do is ask them to stop in the house, he cant force them. that is just how the law works here. if they refuse he has told us he will let us out of the rental agreement immediately no questions.

i do not think he even knows they allow more then 2 people live here tbh..so they could even be booted if he finds that out....

we will be temp moving tomorrow to a motel down the street which has offered to put us up for a month at a discounted rate. so, thats something to be grateful and happy about.
anywho, back on topic.

i never realized i had so many MU figures until i actually had to pack them up. it took me over an hour of sorting and packing things out. bleh

Seriously, smoking can NOT do what happened to your figs- my pal Dave smoked like a chimney untill his baby arrived- and he's got the first three waves of MU and a ton of Clone Wars- all are perfecrtly fine.
Hell, I've been buying them off him to help out -and they dont even smell like smoke- both of my green Hammer drones and USAgent came from him.

I'd be wary of other chemicals that might be doing you real harm- anything caustic enough to damage plastic toys could be really impacting your health!

there are no smoking buildings that have popped up in this area but they are out of our price range/no available until the new year or wont accept us because of our lifestyle atm.

we live half and half. half my year i am in the usa and the next i am here in canada, so the amount i can afford to keep a place is small because i have to keep two places in different locations.

newer rental places will not take people like me on because they see me being in another country for half the year as a liability

there was never any issue until these people moved and we started having this problem...it could be something else they are doing but god knows what they might be...i might not WANT to know. if the blankets they put on there windows is anything to go by they either really hate sunlight or dont want people to see inside for some reason.

But hey, for all we know, they could have painted their place, causing some reaction.
If they're photographers, the developers for old film process could do that...but how could they live there too?

i think the deciding factor in the damage has been we had this places sealed air tight and the 24/7 smoke. the places was literally full of smoke the entire time. anything they smoked came right up into our place and stayed here. everything we own was smoked like a holiday turkey. when we came home and opened our door we literally just looked at each other when the smoke billowed out the doorway

basically anything they put in the air came up and stayed in here. our clothing is pretty much trashed as well. that is how bad it was. we have cleaned it all over 3 times now and the smell keeps coming back on it. our tv has a yellow sheen on it that thankfully has started to wash off, our walls do not look different (because they are beige), but if you take a sponge to them you can see the yellow wipe off the wall onto the sponge.

i have no idea what else they could be doing since i really do not want much to do with them after the first attempt to talk to them. that is for the owner of this place to eventually figure out i suppose.

On another note, my haul the past couple of days is FF pack, daredevil & bullseye comic pack, quicksilver and wonderman pack, transformers shadow commander set, mu giant man and finally a spawn alley set.

Finally got some time for a new dio with x-men vs arch enemies.

I did the same thing too now shes dust free the cat just isn't that fond of sitting in a display case*, my figs are safely scattered about my room safely though

The Mystique mold is just like all of the other female MU figures. Still a great figure but no arm swivel moment is a disappointment. IMO, the best one is X-23 with the new mold. Second is actually Jean Grey because she has elbow swivels.

Onslaught is from the Build a Figure from marvel legends. I consider this in scale because if you ever played any of the marvel vs. capcom series where onslaught is the boss, he's huge. Great figure but a bitch to keep standing up.

I bought the flight stands from hobbylinks japan. HLJ.com. There a bit pricey because of the shipping charges but IMO worth it.

Santa might charge to $10 for shipping though. Lol. You can actually find it for a decent price on evilbay but suffer the shipping charges. I got the set for $12 but $13 shipping charges. Still happy with the purchase though as I've tried to look for this thing at comic shops and Conventions.
