On the suggestion of you guys here I decided to pick one up. It was $48 before tax so not bad at all. I did count six more of the dark guy on the shelf at the TRU near me. Like I said, the dark one is the only one I've ever seen here at any of the stores. Same with the Giant Sized X-Men pack, all we got was variants.

Some of them would be pretty easy too. Like Adam Warlock's head on a Starlord body.

That Moondragon head is great- but I made new )arched) eyebrows for her- now she's perfect! I gotta cut tiny little crescents for her earrings though...if only I had not lost the throwing crescents from Moon Knight the instant i opened him..both times!
Man, I want to see an articulated RR! You gotta make him a mop accessory though! Any idea where I can get some 1:18th scale beer mugs for my team? |

I usually cut away the plastic to get the capes out. Feels like I'm performing surgery on the blister pack.

Any idea where I can get some 1:18th scale beer mugs for my team? as for rocket, just need to figure out which joints to use then i can start sculpting the parts needed. thinking about putting the normal level of joints onto him: ball shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles and/or toes along with forearm pivots and waist pivot. that would be ideal and prolly a fun project. here's the idea i have sorta: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...e/IMG_6890.jpg and a pic of clear silver surfer: ![]() yeah was thinking of buying some extra star lords off ebay to round out some of the other guys like bug and jack flag. prolly need to sculpt in the outfit details on mantis. groot i was thinking if i wanted a sorta man sized version, also a severely modded star lord or a bigger scaled yet skinny body to shave down to sculpt over. Thanks for those Surfer pics- too bad he's so rare- I'd love to make a Stardust from a couple of those!
I prefer the chromed-out version with the comic colored Galactus- a million times nicer than the carded version! Amazing what a good paint app can do for a figure. Hmmm...you could use those atms and legs for an Invisible woman tweak...just fade the color into them. As to RR, that looks great- just be wary of making him into an ewok! I had a conversation with Brad Walker about that- he was always careful to draw RR as a raccoon in a suit more than a midget with fur and a raccoon head- Brad's a big reference guy (gee, can you tell I'm a big fan of his art?). I'm sure you'll do a great job! I'm going to use a SDCC--cap line WWII Cap for a human sized Groot- the uniform is really close and a bit taller I think than the AIM body for diversity in build. I was thinking of useing a Ultimate Hawkeye head for Jack Flag (a favorite character of mine, now consigned to Marvel Limbo- hopefully shacking up with Gamora or/and Mantis!). As to buying extra Starlords off ebay- dont bother! It's an AIM body so buy pegwarming Ultimate Magneto- he's already a close base-color! Naaa! Adam never wore the GotG uniform- he just sported the colors. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 02-24-2012 at 07:57 AM.. |

ok i think i finally found a figure to use for a giant man custum. I found a bunch of 12" 2009 star trek figs for 10 bucks at toys rus. im thinking of using captain pike to do this. Itll be the first fig ive ever customed so hopefully itll be worth it!

Seriously, the best Giant Man custom was done by someone on here that used an Icons Daredevil figure. It was so straightforward, I copied it and it was not nearly as much work as I expected - mostly sanding, a little sculpt to fill a few spots, and painting. It fits in PERFECTLY with the other MU Giant Man/Goliath figures.

Hauls are getting smaller, but just as potent as always!
![]() Check out the box Nick came in. It's a miracle he survived unscathed! ![]() This guy has never been opened. I'll just look at it and picture what it looks like on the inside, thanks to my OCD, lol. ![]() |

^It's a miracle how prestine the outer box for Nick Fury looks. I've had an important package from evilbay show up like that, but my figures were terribly crushed too and had to be returned.
